So invisible assassinations (starting a memory corridor scene right before an assassination mission by assassinating a character while he is despawning) are also possible for Al Mualim and Robert de Sable.

Al Mualim Invisible Assassination
The civilians inside the Masyaf fortress disappear when the cutscene in the garden starts. So throw one of them there (don't throw him more than a few times or you'll take out all his health). After the memory corridor scene the game glitches with Altair since he is teleported to the usual spot after the memory corridor, but still affected by the scene started by entering the place. You then hear the dialogue with the dying Al Mualim, "I applied my heart to know wisdom...", but the regular cutscene also starts regardless. After the scene you are unable to perform any high profile actions and can't progress any farther into the game, not to mention the camera zooms out.

Robert de Sable Invisible Assassination
With Robert you use a guard for the assassination. When fighting the last wave of guards in Arsuf kill the high level ones first and the last remaining few will abandon the fight. The memory wall won't disappear until you kill a certain amount (you'll know when because the game will lag for a brief moment). The scene starts when you're about fifteen meters away, so at sixteen meters high profile kill the guard to start the memory corridor scene.
Afterward the scenes before and after the memory corridor are merged together for a while, but eventually sort themselves out. Since the memory corridor has already happened, you automatically progress through the game after the scenes.

This video is the result of a collaboration between aurllcooljay, JoeyFogey and myself. Our goal was to document the ten greatest achievements in AC1 by members of The Hidden Blade. We hope to publish this video to a wide audience and let them see what THB is all about. To that end, I've joined the Union For Gamers program to partner with Curse. They have agreements with publishers like Ubisoft that let them monetize and promote gameplay videos (as long as they don't contain copyrighted music). If your channel qualifies it's a good deal: 90% revenue share, no lock-in, and no branding requirements.

Al Mualim's Superfast Assassination

http://youtu.be/Cegs8hs0GYc
[Front-paged. -stabguy]

Setup
For this you'll need a live guard in memory block seven. When you fight the assassin guards climb to the top of the building in the area. When the second wave of guards arrives hang from the building and wait for Malik to knife them all. There's a good chance that one guard will still be alive (about 50% chance?). After inspecting the dead bodies the guard will walk to the fortress. He'll go there sooner if you go straight to Malik, possibly because the dead bodies aren't modeled in the game from being so far away.
Once inside the fortress get the guard to fight you and lead him to the back area. Throw him through the back door to ensure he's on that side when the door closes. Now the fun begins.

Al Mualim's Superfast Demise
In the scenes with Al Mualim Altair is paralyzed by the POE. Getting attacked by the guard will get Altair out of the paralyzed position, and he can walk about freely. However the guard is still determined to kill you, which almost happened in the vid. There are a few ways to reduce the chances of getting killed by him during the scenes. Before the last two scenes lead the assassin guard far away from the scene location so that he doesn't get you right away. Also one ability Altair retains in low profile is counter grab, which takes away health from an enemy.
In the last scene simply get behind Al Mualim and mash Armed hand when it ends. Presto, ultimate Al Mualim ownage.

Al Mualim's Early Death

For the original setup of how to do this watch Robert de Sable's Early Death.

The gate to Masyaf is closed after you reenter it during the attack in memory block one. When you get far enough away it disappears and is replaced with the original gate. The concept of this is "there is no spoon", and there are other examples of this in the AC games.

While doing this I discovered a few things. First off you can attack Robert off his horse. He is now in a stand up position but still can't be grabbed. Another thing is the assassin hostage the templars killed is still alive (can't believe I never noticed him during my first recording). But back on to Al Mualim. After you make the gate disappear go inside Masyaf. Al Mualim still stands where he was for the previous scene. Move him by gentle pushing or running/jumping at him. Notice how falling doesn't kill him. I have a little fun with placing the two targets together. You are unable to assassinate Al Mualim with the hidden blade, and he doesn't take any damage from weapons which means the only way to kill him is with throwing him into water. Then I kill Robert and continue on with the game to see if anything has changed. During this I discovered the assassin hostage reacted to Altair assassinating Robert, and when I lock onto him it gives combat options on the HUD. Also the two assassins in the leap of faith area are suspicious of Altair. In the next scene Robert is still dead with no one riding his horse. I also included something else in this video. If you move Robert he will fall through the ground at a certain point. Then Altair's health drops to zero and he desynchronizes. If your wondering why it's because when you kill targets by throwing them into water it says "target escaped" on the screen.

The game developers didn't want you to be able to kill targets with water since you had to be right where the target was when he died (in AC1 at least). It's interesting to know that this mechanic is part of a target's programming instead of being a part of the assassination missions.

The Turkey Shoot: The goal in these assassinations is to immobilize the target so that you can easily stab him/her with the hidden blade. Of course, the developers never intended such assassinations to be possible, so you have to rely on several exploits in order to pull off these types of assassinations.

Here are video walkthroughs for the assassinations shown in "The Turkey Shoot".

Version 2.0 contains updated blitzes of Tamir, Abu'l, Majd, Jubair, Maria, Robert and Al Mualim.

Blitz assassinations of all the main targets. The concept of this style is to assassinate as quickly as possible, while remaining Anonymous before the kill on certain targets: Tamir, Garnier de Naplouse, Abu'l Nuqoud, Majd Addin, William de Montferrat, Jubair Al Hakim and Sibrand.
