I'm not letting movie quotes beat this topic in posts. That's totally unacceptable.

Well then seems you have to bring this topic back to life because movies is becoming pretty popular. Hmmm, DAZ vs. FLAE.

My Xbox came back from its second Red Ring of Death repair. It now runs quietly. That's a pleasant change from the old days of two roaring fans. Is there an easy way to check if they gave me the new electronics that are supposedly immune from RRoD?

Did a letter come attached to it that said "Your unit was old so we swapped it for a new one?" A pretty good indication is if they gave you a free 1-month Xbox Live card.

The letter didn't specify how the Xbox was repaired. It came with a free Xbox LIVE card - same as last time.

Unless it actually says in the letter that they swapped your old box for a new one, it's probably still your old box with new hardware, but it's impossible to tell without opening up the box and voiding the warranty, as far as I know.

aha. fair point. although I'm not too fussed about online gaming. I prefer the single player campaigns.

Of course, this will all change when ACB comes out.

I'd rather have slightly lower standard online than have to pay for something that, while better, is still not worth the money Cool

$5 a month is chump change. Asaic and I both agree we find $5 a month walking around outside. And the online gaming we have for the 360 is much better than the PS3.

I will say this: the PS3 is better offline (except for AC2), while the 360 is better online.

I suppose thats not much but people must drop money a lot more in america than here Tongue

I very nearly bought a 360 but changed my mind because most of my friends have ps3s.

sometimes I wish I'd got a 360 but then sometimes I'm glad I didn't. I personally think depending on your own gaming preferences and online usage the 2 are pretty even

but do you really notice a difference in the offline gameplay on each? I've noticed the controls are often quite different and on AC the 360 ones seem to make more sense. what about graphics etc.? Smile

I think a lot of people often regret their console choice even a tiny bit maybe because of the odd game or feature eg online. I suppose the only option is to get both (something which I cannot afford as far as money and time go)

I'll guess I'll just keep playing my ps3, despite sony "killing their brand" and all Wink

All hail the 360 (and ps3) fanboys!

oh and also, your comment about 360 better online and ps3 better offline is pretty true. Seeing as I dont use online its the ps3 for me Smile

I love my 360 due to exclusives such as Halo and Mass Effect, but I'd still like to play Heavy Rain and Resistance. Also, I think i've mentioned this before, but the first time I played AC, it was on a PS3.

yeah Halo's pretty good but I get bored after a while tbh. Heavy Rain is brilliant although a bit weird (havent played much as it was a friend's) but Resistance is really good.

Its a good job AC is on both! Laughing out loud

Me and three other friends will be executing "Operation Sundown" in order to hopefully eradicate the Twilight Saga once and for all.

The first step of the plan is to buy online tickets for the movie "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" so that we will be able to avoid lines.

The next step is to have one of us slip into the theatre with a FLIP video camera and acquire four seats in the rear section of the theatre.

The third step is to smuggle in three VUVUZELAS underneath our clothing into the theatre. We will sit in complete silence until the beginning of the movie in order to draw attention away from ourselves.

The fourth step is to, approx. fifteen minutes into the "film," the FLIP video camera will engage and the other three of us will begin blowing our vuvuzelas with all of our might. If executed correctly, we will successfully turn Twilight into the world cup and antagonize the others into leaving.

The back-up plan is that if security is called we will shout out the ending of the movie and spoil it for everyone, which is why our friend with the FLIP will also have a tiny mega-phone and will follow us out of the theatre blaring the end of the movie over and over again.

I will report the results back to you immediately following debrief assuming all goes according to plan.

If I don't make it out alive because I'm mauled by psycho teenagers boy-crazy over Edward and Jacob, let me just say that the time I have spent here with you all has been indescribable. You all have been excellent friends and I will always remember the moments I spent on these forums. Thank you all.

In England, they have been having heatwaves and water shortages, with it getting as hot as about 28 degrees Celsius in some parts. Where I am in Scotland however, it hasn't climbed above 19 degrees most days this past week, with heavy rain and thunderstorms being fairly common.

it was a busy, and very rainy day yesterday.
and yesterday morning, with only an hours sleep in me i was called in by the Home guard for my first real alarm. a sick old man had wandered of the evening before and we had to go find him.
it was raining like crasy so when he was found he was laying in a bush only 400 meters from his home soaking wet an cold. good thing we had a medic with us or he wouldn't have made to the ambulance.

then i got home and slept until 6 in the eveninging.

So, I got my exam results back, and I'm pretty pleased with them.

A for Higher Religious Moral and Philosophical Studies. (Very pleased with this, the course covers topics such as the ethics of genetic research, Judaism in the modern world, and examining if there is a conflict between Science and Religion.)

B for Higher Computing Studies, I am planning to go do HNC Computing at the college so this was very important.

4 for Standard Grade Spanish, to be honest, languages aren't my forte, but I did better than I thought I would have. At our school you could only do Spanish at a Standard grade level due to there being no permanent Spanish teacher, we were taught via video conferencing.

These were all done in my final year at high school, and are shown on my certificate with all my highers from last year and my Standard Grades from 2 years ago. I am now extremely relieved I can carry on with my plans for college. Big smile
