This is a classic and also the most popular topic back on the old site (assassinscreed-maps.com). The game is simple. The last person to reply wins.

Anyway, this Red Ring of Death thing has really got me down. I'm in need of a pick-me-up. Does anyone have any suggestions? Are there RRD therapy groups or something I can go to Wink ?

Oh, boy. Last person to reply continues... 300 pages, here we come!

What a lousy time for a red ring of death. Sad One of my real-life gamer friends suggested that a group of us go in on an Xbox Arcade system to be an "emergency backup" in the event of an RROD. How's that for a support group?

How many friends are planning to do this?

That's a great idea though. 4 people, and you only have to spend 50$ each, and not all of you will need it at the same time, so...

Wow.

FLAE, do this. You have friends, don't you? Tongue

My friends are all greedy and don't have any RRODs currently. In fact when I told them about it every one of them either laughed or just spammed the words "EPIC FAIL." I tried the towel trick and it didn't work, so now I must resort to the penny trick.

The warranty is still good for another 6 months, so I can either send it in, or I can try taking apart the 360 myself and then rebuilding it with instructions after doing the penny trick. However, I void the warranty if I attempt the penny trick, so I'm still deciding what I should do.

Does anyone know of any businesses that repair consoles? Could Best Buy's Geek Squad possibly do something about this?

I hesitate to even mention this because I suspect it's a scam. This place charges $29.95US for a PDF and/or videos on how to repair the Xbox 360 yourself in less than an hour. They specifically mention E74 as being covered and offer a 60 day money back guarantee.

If anyone has experience with 3 Red Light Fix (good or bad) please let me know.

That's a great idea if you have a wide circle of trusted friends that also play Xbox. Unfortunately I don't. What is sad is that it's right up the line of Microsoft. I'm almost sorry I didn't get a PS3 instead...alot less problems. I had my Xbox for less then 6 months before having to send it in because it stopped reading discs.

does anyone ever use the chat?
this is a thing that annoyes me on AC maps forum also, that the caht seems to never be used.

well, it's one thing when noone is online due to time zones and whatever, but it's just crappy when i see like 5-6 people online and the chat is still useless.
atleast if i see anyone else online i'll have the chat open and hope someone else will to.

ok, rant is over now

There's occasionally a large sum of users online. Me, Ian, stab, and trigger were in a chat all at once like last week or something, so yes, people do use the chat, just not as much as on ac-maps.

I was meaning to make a post about this but I forgot. It's decent and in some ways it's everything I want from a portable assassins creed game, and the graphics are just fantastic! However, my biggest disapointment with the game is that it doesn't encourage you to be stealthy, sure, you have your hidden blade and your throwing knives but most of the time you can just plow through groups of enemies using your sword with little resistance. I've also noticed a number of clipping glitches but no biggies. What I do like though is the templar coins, you get 30 bronze coins for completing a side mission, you get 2 bronze coins if you kill a pirate or a templar knight, but scattered round each level are silver coins and gold coins, They are essentially the flags of the game and you get "accomplishments" for collecting all the silver and gold coins in each level, which satisfies my inner obssessive. However you also use the coins you collect to upgrade your health, your weapon damage and your sychrinisation rate. All in all I find it quite enjoyable on it's own, but doesn't keep true to the first games focus on stealth.

Thanks to SBIzokronus for the fantastic sig!

My advice: don't waste your money on Bloodlines.

It's not a bad game, don't get me wrong, but it does not even begin the answer the questions it should have answered, like how Altaïr's descendents ended up in Italy or what happened to the Assassins and otehr Pieces of Eden. My advice is this: buy ACII and collect the Codex. You'll elarn a lot more and have a better game for it too.

Yeah, I enjoyed it as a game, but looking at the story, it was hyped up as "THE" connection between the two games and didn't come off as that as all

Fixed. They were both "orphaned" forum topics (no forum specified). Did you make them using "Create content"? If so, you have to choose a forum from the drop down list.

No one played Altair's Chronicles because it SUCKED, so the answer is no. Bloodlines is nothing spectacular, but it's a pretty good game still. If you really want it, then go for it.

If I can find Altair's Chronicles for under $10.00, I'll probably buy it. I've been watching some pretty bad reviews on Youtube about it. On the other hand, Bloodlines looks great.

None of them will ever beat American Wedding. That was the unquestioned funniest movie out of all of them. And Sean William Scott was at his best in that movie. And that scene at the bachelor party is absolutely classic... among other things Wink

This is how they clean windows on skyscrapers in Honolulu:

Four guys (and sometimes one woman) rappel down the building in formation. Their safety equipment consists of a second rope that looks just as old as the primary rope. What's really nuts is when they walk along the rail on the edge of the roof without tying off first.
