Berserk Blades can be used to:
- Flag an enemy as Hostile to everyone around him
- Drag enemies toward his location
- Create juicy opportunities for Smoke Bombs
- Stun guards for a fast rush-Assassination
- Cancel a guard's Detection state, to allow an Assassination from Fight
- Ground-kill a guard on his back while conserving more Lethal ammo
- Stealth kill guards via Overdose (double-tap)

[Archive of Initiate's Training Session: Arno_Dorian_S3M2]
Recording of an alternative approach that Arno Dorian could have possibly taken during his attempt to assassinate Charles Gabriel Sivert. This approach does not lead to Desynchronization, though it is decidedly more lethal and deadly. A training simulation for the Initiates, to develop the skills and mental grit needed to survive against a high number of opponents
Assassin's Creed Unity and Assassin's Creed Syndicate both contain an amount of Non-Lethality in their Stealth gameplay. It is the barest minimum acceptable in a Stealth game, but it is present, and for that, I'm grateful. The Non-Lethal Chokedown animation in Unity is long. It can be interrupted, if the player needs to run from guards that are turning around, but the more optimal decision is to finish the Choke, because it removes one of the enemies that would otherwise begin chasing you.
I think the "Confession" Main Assassination mission from Assassin's Creed Unity had some really great level design, which is probably the reason they used it for one of the gameplay demos shown to the public, the one closest to release. I think it was the Gamescom demo.

Arno harvests the lives of his enemies inside and around La Halle aux Bles, applying liberal use of his Phantom Blades.

Trivia: This took me 49 Checkpoint Restarts. This mission is hilariously easy to Ghost through, but as soon as you try to actually start killing people Unity starts shaking its finger at you and being an insufferable wreck.
There are two Bombs in Unity that I don't really understand how to use effectively.
The Stun Bomb, and the Money Bomb.
Stun Bomb I've long written off as just "a bad Smoke Bomb." As in, it does everything the Smoke Bomb does, but it does it worse. So there's really no reason to unlock that skill except for flavor. The game itself and its tutorials/in-game documentation make no effort whatsoever to distinguish it from Smoke Bomb in a meaningful way, or to explain why you would want Stun Bomb when Smoke Bomb exists and covers all of its uses.

Assassin's Creed Unity
Memory: La Halle aux Bles
Style: Ghost / Non-Lethal / Flawless
Goal: Finish the mission without being detected, without killing anyone, and without knocking anyone unconscious. A phantom. A bedtime story the guards tell themselves at night, a myth. Nothing more.
