This answers the frequently asked question "How do I reach the viewpoint on top of Notre Dame?"
My first Unity video. Not front-page worthy so I'm leaving it here.
So far in Assassin's Creed Unity, I haven't been able to Desynchronize by getting out of bounds of the Memory Area - which is the entirety of the city of Paris. It seems the game doesn't let you pass through Memory Walls, they appear to be the AC1 version which were solid and prevented the Assassin from passing through them.
This doesn't apply to the small areas the game creates during missions (which I think you're able to pass through) but rather for the entirety of the game world, whose outer glass wall appears to be impenetrable.

The trick with this memory is taking the side flags first. Once you collect a certain set, more flags replace the old ones. Use this to your advantage and farm them for yourself to get a huge time boost. You're going to need all the time you can get when you make mistakes (YOU F*CKING WILL, I SWEAR TO GOD). I got about 40~ seconds during the first section alone.
Remember to focus on each level first, and not go after everything you see. That's when you mess it up for yourself and accidentally make Arno grab onto something you didn't even notice was there in the first place.
When you have to make tight turns or small jumps, just use or
, not
+
or
+
like you probably want to. When only holding the free run trigger, Arno will only run along level ground (as long as there are relatively level obstacles in his path). I use this to make small leaps across gaps that manually jumping to would screw the entire process up.
Don't focus on the time. Get a feel for the best paths you can take. Notice that I slow down when I'm about to climb a ladder. If you rush it too much, you'll ruin it for yourself. Take it slow when you have to change things up.
I hope the video helps anyone in desperate need of getting past this level. I know it's seemingly impossible to do alone, but I proved it's possible. It just takes 20 tries and your game to freeze before you actually accomplish it.

In Unity, creed points are used to buy equipment for customizing. They are obtained through certain actions in the game. Most of them involve variables that are limited, such as assassinating/fighting guards and interacting with lifts/alarm bells. However there are a few that can be done over and over again in the same general place or places.
It's funny how as soon as Ubisoft releases a game with real-money transactions, it gets lots of quick support and updates.
I have no interest in buying in-game currency with real money, but if the existence of that option makes them support a game like gangbusters, I'm all for it. It's about time!
At this point in my time of playing AC, I've realized that I've become far more interested in speculating as to how the series could change than actually playing it. It wasn't always this way, but these days it seems like we either get something unambitious but well crafted (Black Flag, Brotherhood, Rogue) or something horizontally ambitious but oblivious to core problems with the series and unwilling to truly rethink things.

Combat in Ac Unity is hard, the hardest it's ever been. With the hidden blade not in use during regular combat it would be nice to have a creative method of taking out your enemies without having to constantly swing your weapon at them, a silver bullet if you will. Here is where the video comes in.

So I was playing this Paris Story side mission and thought, why not make a video.

Quick tip: You can toggle the entire HUD on and off by clicking and holding the right analog stick for two seconds. Makes for great screenshots.
Hey guys, long time no see!
I've been playing a lot of Unity since Tuesday and have been jotting down pros and cons as I go. I haven't finished the game yet (almost there), but I thought I would post some stuff to stir up some conversation. And if we're lucky, somebody at Ubisoft might see this thread and take some notes too.
