So far, I'm liking AC Chronicles China. It lends itself very well to Mastery - just like Far Cry 4's outposts or any replayable part of a game. Additionally, you're scored based on individual checkpoints, and the Ranking you get is shown as soon as Shao Jun moves past that checkpoint. So you always know, and theoretically you can replay it.
It takes huge cues from Mark of the Ninja. Combat is tough and it's easy to die. You start with 1 HP and can upgrade that over the course of the game. Stealth is very functional and allows for some really nice flow once you get into it. The first time you play a level, it's TOUGH. But when you go back and replay the levels before it, they become much easier.
Will post a Shadow Gold 1300/1300 Point (Full Sync) Run of the first Memory soon (uploading now).
Dutch company that deals in concrete.
Templars confirmed.
"These guys are EVERYWHERE, Desmond...!"
Yes, it's that good.
Couldn't resist taking a screenshot when I saw this in Dying Light.
i was thinking of maybe switching my Avatar, cause i don't really care for the show it's from at all anymore.
but on the other hand, an avatar is basically your whole internet identity, and isn't something that should be changed all willy nilly.
@Aurel, lmao. Yusuf is probably hype in his grave.
@ROB, identity is fluid and comes in phases - even Internet identity. You're totally justified in changing your avatar to something more You. This is especially true because you have returned from a long absence, so it definitely marks a new phase of HiddenBlading.
I still think of ROB as his avatar on AC-maps. It was like a cartoon sailor guy. Honestly, I have no idea about the origin of that userpic. All I know is that he wore a Santa hat at Christmas.
oh, yeah.
i remember that.
that, my friend, is a Swedish comic book character known as "91:an Karlsson"
he's a conscript in a stylised version of the Swedish military.
He looks like a much happier Scandinavian Popeye.

I honestly don't know what I'm doing with my time anymore.
I love how you mirrored your own profile pic, as if it was an actual head.
... it... isn't, right?
[sweats nervously]
The Head of Eden?
hey, Stabby.
i have some bad news.
you know that Bruges themed bookmarked you got me?
i think i lost it
too bad. i really liked that thing
Yes, I remember that. It was the stabby prize in the first ever "Where in the World is Stabguy?" contest back on ac-maps.
That is too bad you lost it. If you're ever in Bruges you can replace it. Be sure to pick up an extra one for me!

I still have my Arkham Asylum GOTY for winning another one of those... too bad I never enjoyed the game very much. I can't get rid of it though, because it was a prize from you!
As if McStab is going to win this.
Not sure if anyone likes DnB at all, but this is a neat song to check out anyway.
Also... WINNING.
congrats to the USA for finally coming out of the middle ages, and allowing same sex marriage.
so, how many boycotts, protests and treaths from idiots do you think it's gonna be about it now?
i'm expecting a lot

A lot. Like, a lot more than you would expect, I'm sure.
Unfortunately, this is probably going to overshadow California getting rid of most exemptions to their mandatory vaccination laws. This is something else that everyone should celebrate because it legitimately helps everyone to get rid of disease.
In honor of it all, I got an All-Clear in Tetris with an I-Piece - the highest possible scoring move in the entire game.
The blocks are rainbow, etc. etc.
Made a random GIF.
Yahoo the US followed suite with Ireland and many other countries and poked Russia in the eye while at it. No protests or anything...just idiots trying to figure a way around it. They will come around...lol.
Haha aurl, no doubt!
So I went firework shopping yesterday and saw this.
Amazing.
Amazing.
More like illegal, methinks.

Correct, though many amazing things are to some degree illegal.
Oh wow that's a nice find.
So should we start referring to Altaïr as 'Stone Cold Pyro' now?
I kind of want to do the Assassin's Creed Experience at Comic-Con (since I'm local now).
But I also don't want to deal with all the people.
Darn big city peeps! We would likely show up if a sun flower threw a concert! Lol
I'm not dead, by the way. Just saying.
Good to know.
I know it's underwater, but how the hell has the Yonaguni Monument not been used as a TWCB precursor site for Assassin's Creed in any capacity? Shit's perfect for it!
It has the right architecture:
It's massive:
AND it has puzzles/conspiracies to vet:
COME ON, UBISOFT! IT'S PERFECT!
Additionally, in Assassin's Creed 1 - one of the markings on the wall or floor says; "YONAGUNI"

Thank goodness.
It means that yes, they know about it (or at least the original team did) and maybe planned to use it. Hopefully they still do...
If they ever did a samurai/feudal Japan AC (like many people have wanted) they could at least center it around this "precursor site" either in the Animus or if they go back to present day exploration.
If it was in AC1, then they may have even taken the architecture from this site at one point.
They just needed an engine capable of underwater exploration. With Black Flag... they now have it.
If they're gonna use the site, it's gonna be soon. Feudal Japan would be a nice change of pace from the Europe Europe and more Europe they keep shoving down our throats. Even AC3/Rogue were just extensions of the same Europe storylines... Black Flag is the only one that has felt not solely directed by European politics, and even in that one it wasn't a clean break...
I agree completely. With a series released so machine-gun fast, they want to keep it fresh and varied as much as they can. We've seen much of Europe and much of North America, and there are other continents to explore with fascinating history of their own. The history by itself is not so much the crux of it, it's just gotta be history that they can shatter, reforge and remelt together to their liking in order to be Assassin's Creed. I think that's probably the type of thing they look for the most. History that is clear enough for you to go on Wikipedia and see it's mostly factual, but vague enough that they can claim an Assassin was responsible for certain events.
Hi guys. I miss you lots.
i have no idea what that Earth picture is supposed to be

It's extending the angles from the image above which are carved into the monument thing as you look from the top. It shows that all those angles go to important locations, probably for trade reasons or defining the civilization's known world.
Okay, that could be pretty hype.
I'm starting to feel more like an adult.
After nearly 6 years, my wife and I are finally getting out of the "apartment near a college" scene. We're renting a house with a yard and everything starting tomorrow. Additionally, this past weekend, we made an "adult" purchase and bought a washer and dryer.
Everyone has to grow up sometime. And it's finally our turn it seems.
New experiences are always interesting; they keep things fresh and let you live through different things together.
i just found out that in the US, the week apparently starts on a Sunday?
it wierded me out way more than it probably should have

Depends on the kind of week. The "work week" begins on Monday.
Depends on the kind of week.
even just the fact that that sentence exists sounds illogical and strange to me.
i don't get it
That's the USA for you. The mostly nontraditional and uncultured nation (America, *beep* yeah!). Until my current job, weeks went Sun-Sat, but now the schedule is Mon-Sun.
The first day of the week varies all over the world. In most cultures, Sunday is regarded as the first day of the week although many observe Monday as the first day of the week. According to the Bible, the Sabbath or Saturday is the last day of the week which marks Sunday as the first day of the week for many Jewish and Christian faiths, while many countries regard Monday as the first day of the week.According to the international standard ISO 8601, Monday is the first day of the week ending with Sunday as the seventh day of the week. Although this is the international standard, countries such as the United States still have their calendars refer to Sunday as the start of the seven-day week.
ISO 8601 only came about in 1988...
and, to reiterate, in most cultures, Sunday is regarded as the first day of the week.

Plus, the "weekend" is at both ends of the week when you go Sun-Sat
