The previous pictures are in the third movie, but here are some from the first.
the first pic almost made me think it was some kind of crappy ABBA music video. it seems to fit the style i imagine they have.
but that is absolutely the third Starship Troopers movie, i guess it's called Maurauder (though the third one would probably have not been my first guess if you hadn't said it)
Sorry the first pic wasn't that good quality. The Starship Troopers movies are no longer on Netflix, so I had to find clips from Youtube (just glad someone else saw these futuristic military satires, otherwise I would have given a clue: soldiers fighting bugs in space). By the way, the first pic is the exact opposite of what Stabby thought. The girl is the religious one of the bunch, and I'm not going to spoil anything, but instead of about to get killed, she
the third movie was an absolute piece of crap.
the second one too, but not quite to the same extent.
i loved the first movie, though.
this movie came out in 2012.
Really? I thought the second was the only one not worth mentioning. That pic might be from near the beginning of Iron Sky (which was also used in the Movie Quotes Guessing Game topic).
Sure looks like Iron Sky.
yes. it is Iron Sky
and come on. don't be stupid. Starship Troopers 3 was nothing but some kind of religious nut propaganda and it annoyed the crap out of me.
i fully expected the story, action, actors and characters to be bad, but that was unbearable.
Remember how I said those movies were military satires? Well, in the third movie, it also applies to religion. And considering how over the top it was, I'm surprised it seems to offend non religious people more than religious people. That "getting religion" scene was mean to to amuse.
But back on topic. A sequel seems to be in the works, Iron Sky The Coming Race. By the looks of it, a few more conspiracy theories are thrown in there.

The topic is guess the movie, Aurel. You guessed Iron Sky first, so that means you have to post the next picture.
A quick reminder to everyone. Please don't use words like "don't be stupid" around here.

i'm sorry. i think i must have been hanging out at Gfaqs too much, where everyone talks shit all the time. i apologize.
and i guess it's possible i missed the whole "satire" thing completely.
when was this new movie made?

Why not? It's a good motto to have.
i think i must have been hanging out at Gfaqs too much, where everyone talks merda all the time.
Man, I don't hang around the right boards around there then. Also I couldn't get around the cheapness of the second film. Most of the movie is in one location, and none of the actors really stand out (which would have worked better as a b horror).
(picture not part of the game)

I guess when referring to Abstergo, yearly releases, and the guy who fired Patrice Désilets.
when was this new movie made?
The scene in the GIF is featured in not one, but several movies, from 1990 to 2013.

Good job self-moderating, guys. I don't care if people swear (e.g. "everyone talks shit" is fine) as long as you're not swearing at each other and are being respectful to other members.
We are of course preparing to be actual moderators. Then everyone will have to be nice to us, like with you.
The company that made that scene is Troma. I don't like its movies though. Too much messed up trashiness for me (but Surf Nazis Must Die is kind of good). I heard about the infamous car flip scene in a video making documentary. It was filmed for around a million dollars, which is why they made the most of it as reused stock footage.

I moderate a community with over 170K members. You'd be surprised at the flak you get.
If course this is more like a 170 members community than a 170K one, but still.
You're right. In a small community like this, there aren't a lot of people to deal with (except for the occasional spambot or troll); but in large forums, far more members need to be kept in line.
One time I visited the Nexusmods site, and there happened to be a topic on getting banned and how to avoid it. It wasn't too long before someone left comments that violated those very rules. See for yourself. http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/502787-i-got-banned/
The movies containing the car flip are:
Sgt. Kabukiman N.Y.P.D. (1990)
Reused in -
Tromeo and Juliet (1996)
Terror Firmer (1999)
Citizen Toxie: The Toxic Avenger IV (2000)
Poultrygeist: Night of the Chicken Dead (2006)
Return to Nuke 'Em High Volume 1 (2013)
I don't blame anyone for not seeing those movies, because I wouldn't want to either. Now for a hopefully better known movie.
Is that Robert Downey Jr. on the right?
I think the whole cast is Chinese.
The first picture looked familiar. Now I have no idea.

One time I was on a business trip in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, and the office manager there had previously worked at Troma. She told us there was going to be a late night screening of Surf Nazis Must Die at the local theater and that it was considered Troma's finest film ever. So a group of us went to see it (she declined to go with us). There were some funny parts but if that's their masterpiece, I don't care to see any more.
Tromeo and Juliet (1996)
Troma worked their studio name into the film's title? That's a low-class move right there.
Obviously its a foreign film. On the dvd cover is the best description: Kill Bill and Looney Tunes combined.

Surf Nazis Must Die is hardly their masterpiece; It doesn't try to be messed up (by "finest film", I think they meant "half decent" compared to their usual). The Toxic Avenger is a better example of what Troma movies are like. The Angry Video Game Nerd reviewed it, if you're the least bit interested in how bad it is (but be prepared for some graphic violence).

Some of their movies take place in the fictional city of Tromaville.
Is it Kung Pow?
You got the first word right...
I think there's another one called Kung Fu Hustle? (Sorry, I haven't actually seen any of these except for the short film Kung Fury.)
That is it.

It's nice to know that foreign films aren't in Hollywood's clutches.
Kung Fu Hustle was one of my favorite movies of all time, and now I regret not checking this thread too often xD I could've won that round. I also really loved Shaolin Soccer, which is very similar to that one. @Stabguy, I haven't seen Kung Fury yet, but I really want to because it feels like the kind of uber-cheesy cyberpunk pulp that I can have a good laugh at.

Dammit DAZ! That was the movie I was going to throw up on my next turn.
I haven't seen it, but kind of want to and have been looking into over the last week or so and thought it would be perfect for this thread.

You can watch it right now! I provided a link to the 30 minute short. Here it is again:

At first I though the guy in the first picture was Jim Carrey, then Chevy Chase, now I just don't know.

That's another thing about this topic. It's great for recommending (or sometimes not recommending) movies. For example, I checked out Sleeper from the library and enjoyed the combination of slapstick and futuristic theme. Bought Monty Python and the Holy Grail from a garage sale a short while back, but haven't been able to motivate myself to watch it yet. And Bone Collector is on my Christmas wish list. Also, after hearing of Manos Hands of Fate, I've heard other references to it on the internet, usually as the worst movie ever made (I wonder, is there a name for that, when you first hear about something and later for some inexplicable reason keep hearing about it?).
At first I though the guy in the first picture was Jim Carrey, then Chevy Chase, now I just don't know.
Hint: The guy in the first picture (with the bottle of Jim Beam) is Jack Nicholson.
I'll post another picture tomorrow.
Here are all three stars in an iconic scene:
The Motorcycle Diaries? It's literally the only guess I have. I've never seen it but my brother has it on his hard-drive and he keeps hyping it up to me.
Knowing it's Jack Nicholson and since it looks like a biker movie, I remember there was one called Hells Riders or Hells Angels.

Hmm. There's a 1967 biker movie called Hells Angels on Wheels starring Jack Nicholson. That's pretty close. The movie above came out two years later and is about a thousand times more famous. It's the ultimate hippie/biker/road movie. I thought these last two biker scenes would give it away.
Okay, final hints:
The two costars are Peter Fonda as "Captain America" Wyatt and Dennis Hopper as Billy.
Later they are joined by Jack Nicholson in a supporting role.
The opening theme song is Born To Be Wild by Steppenwolf.
Biker Boys?
Is it Easy Rider?
They mentioned it on NPR this morning on my drive in and it sounds like the name of a biker movie.
Is it Easy Rider?
Yes! I'm surprised you guys have never heard of it. Easy Rider is on the AFI's list of the 100 best American movies and is Peter Fonda's signature role. You probably know him better as Bridget Fonda's dad.
Finding Neverland?
Finding Neverland?
Nope.
Perhaps this stripped-back iconic scene from the movie will give it away too easily...
The first picture looked familiar at first, now I have no idea. The guy in the hat looks like someone I used to work with.

I was gonna mention this. I saw that 100 Years 100 Movies when it aired on TV and remembered a clip where there were biker guys and it played the song "Born to be Wild", but the only name that came to mind was Biker Boys.
I used "iconic" wrong. I should have used "memorable" scene from the movie. It's not "iconic" as far as we'll remember it across decades of film. But it was a memorable scene from the movie.
Let's add the special effects in:
It looks like Oz the Great and Powerful

Finally someone gets it. No, I'm not judging anybody.
