Doomsday Machine was made around that time, but it takes place mostly in outer space. I still think it looks like a play from Shakespeare.
That's an insult to Shakespeare!
I'll give this another day of guessing before I lay down a couple more in-depth hints.
It was a "hit" on Mystery Science Theater 3000 and involves a cult of women.
I would say Voyage to the Planet of Prehistoric Women, but that came out in 1968.
I was thinking Mars Needs Women. It was filmed in 1966 but released in 1967.
The film was shot in two and a half months with a budget of about $19,000 on a
handheld camera that could only record thirty-two seconds of film at a time (I just thought this was funny to share).
The film also has a "hand" theme.
Another clue please?
Another clue please?
In this movie, we see the hands of fate themselves.
If you still can't get it, there are no other clues I can give except for the title.
Can we have the first word? And if the title is only one word, how about it scrambled.
"Manos"
Wild guess: "Manos del Destino"
Wild guess: "Manos del Destino"
Yes! But I was going for the English version. Thankfully I looked it up to be sure it translated correctly. Damn, I was hoping I'd win.

It's right? I recognized Manos as Spanish for hands. Earlier you had said "hands of fate". All I did was translate the rest to Spanish. Never heard of this movie.
Yeah. It's normally called "Manos: Hands of Fate", but you're close enough. It's a redundant title and a painful movie to watch.
Here's a scene from an animated movie:
Kung Fu Panda
Yep. That's the staircase to the palace that torments Po.
Gross! It looks like something they would film at the University of Oregon.
Animal House ("I'm a zit" scene)
you know you're right.
Here's something you don't see every day:
From the first picture I would have guessed a modern day Pirates of the Caribbean 2.
The star of our show:
Aliens.. something with Aliens...
Either that, or a really disturbing Larry the Cable Guy film.
You should get this one, Joey. The newspaper headline (above) mentions Indiana.
Close Encounters of the Third Kind?

OH, 'CUS EVERYONE IN INDIANA JUST KNOWS WHAT EVERYTHING RELATED TO INDIANA IS FROM, HUH?? How dare you...
Honestly, I've seen that imagery before, but can't nail it. It looks like an older movie, maybe around my birth year or earlier, I'm guessing. Either that, or the image quality just makes it look that way.
Close Encounters of the Third Kind?
Aurel got it. Much of the first half is set in Indiana. I'm sure this movie predates Joey by 15 years or more.
It was the last picture that made me guess it. Never actually seen the movie, just the trailer and a clip when playing the game scene it I think. Also I think the main actor is Richard Dreyfuss, the guy who plays an oceanographer in Jaws. That must be the guy in that picture. The movie was on Netflix for a time, but I never got around to watching it. And speaking of Spielberg films, I finally saw E.T. yesterday after only seeing part of it when I was small.
Here's a fact I read on Yahoo news: While Spielberg was filming Close Encounters, George Lucas was working on Star Wars. He visited the set of Close Encounters and thought it would do much better than Star Wars. So he made a deal with Spielberg; trade 2% of their film's profit with each other. Spielberg was smart enough to agree (lucky him).
"I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick ***... and I'm all out of bubblegum."
Anyone recognize that?
That's Pulp Fiction, innit?
I don't think Pulp Fiction has subliminal messages. I mentioned this movie here before when I recommended some films, if anyone remembers.
It's a 1980's low budget John Carpenter film. If no one can get it I'll move on to another movie.
I'm 99% sure I know what it is, but I don't want to be the next guy!
They Live
I think that's the actual title if I'm going by the last picture clue.
Yes, the last one looks just like the cover picture.
Did you actually see the movie?
Yes, it has the best fight scene in cinematic history.
Oh yes, the famous five minute fight scene. I think it was parodied in an episode of South Park. And in case you need confirmation, They Live is the movie. I'm surprised the subliminal messages weren't what gave it away.

Reminder for those who play this game: Please remove the film's title from the image links. Sometimes this means re-uploading to a photo sharing site such as imgur or Photobucket.
You got me there. I was too lazy on the last few pictures and just used links. Then again if people can't guess the movie and it's been a while... and I'm not saying resort to desperate measures... it's just... I don't know... quit making me look like the bad guy!!! Oh wait, you said please. All is forgiven.
So are you going to post a picture, Joey?
So are you going to post a picture, Joey?
...maybe...
Howl's Moving Castle.
Howl's Moving Castle.
Yaaaay you did it!
That movie was a good choice. Studio Ghibli puts a lot of effort in their movies. I happen to know someone who owns some, including Howl's Moving Castle. One thing I thought to be cool was Christian Bale plays the voice of Howl, and in one scene, the one where he says, "go away", it was in the same growly voice as Batman in the Christopher Nolan films.
Sorry this took so long. I couldn't find the clip online, but since I had the dvd, it was played and a screenshot was taken.
