During the glider mission (Carlo Grimaldi's assassination), leaving the Doge's palace results in mission failure. Well here's a way to avoid that. Go to the spot shown at 0:53 in the video and drop to hang close to the rail. This may take a few tries.
Leaving the place from the back is the only way so far to avoid desynch, although there is still a "no detection" rule during this mission.

When you infiltrate Palazzo della Seta, a cutscene starts before the assassination. If Emilio gets spooked before the scene ends, killing him results in no memory corridor. In addition you get a clear view of the scripted "arrow storm" from the thieves killing all the guards inside the palace. Here are three ways to frighten Emilio during the scene:

When I was a lot younger and playing AC2 for the first time, I would notice Rooftop Archers would detect me a bunch, and while I'd still be able to assassinate them, it'd only be in that moment of shock/surprise as they're still yelling about seeing me. I didn't really care so much. A stealth kill was a stealth kill, regardless of whether the Animus thought they saw me for a moment before dying.

Welcome to the speedrun of Assassin's Creed II in 5 hours, 10 minutes and 31 seconds. It was recorded between April 3rd and June 22nd (2016). Also, this is my second run of this game and that category, although the first was now five years ago and did not feature any save warp.

Missing Templar Lairs
Wed, 05/18/2016 - 00:47 — charlotteSo I've been playing through AC2 and I'm almost done with the game, but I've gotten held up because I don't have access to the templar lairs. Funny thing is, I have the deluxe edition with all of the content and the lairs are in my game files. This wouldn't be a big deal if the lairs didn't count towards full sync, but they do so it's really bugging me. I'm currently held up speaking with Ubisoft support and they have no clue what's wrong so for now my progress in the game is at a standstill.
