https://youtu.be/HAtveVYzIi0 this guy covers most of how I feel about this game. It's a long one though, clocking in at 4 hours.
Just a 15 second video demonstrating why civilians should be careful around assassins. This was something unrehearsed that happened back in April.
This is a quick guide for getting the Old Habits achievement/trophy and also 100% game progress in AC Origins. Like many, I was stuck at 99% for a while so I know the feeling of having "completed everything" and still not seeing 100%. Below are some tips for what to do (and what not to do) to get over that last hump.
The description for Old Habits is simply "Complete all locations." That's pretty vague. Here is what they mean by Locations:
My preferred style for any AC game is stealth + hidden blade. It's satisfying to sneak into a restricted area, complete the objectives, assassinate someone/everyone, and sneak out undetected.
Then you come across a fort Captain who can't be assassinated even with a fully upgraded hidden blade. Take the captain at the Pissa Oros Citadel, for example. This is what it looks like if you're level 40, adept at combat, and decked out with Warrior abilities and Legendary gear:

I'm sure that's satisfying if you enjoy combat. This is more my style:
It's a real blow to my ego that I can no longer solve AC puzzles in 15 minutes or less. Can someone give me a hint (not the full solution, please) on how to proceed with the Sundial Puzzle?
This is what I've done so far:
Witnessed meteorite fall.
Explored tomb and saw depiction of sundial. Dial markings 1, 3, and 5 are bolded.
Bayek comments that the number "XV" must be important. If that's a Roman numeral then it's 15.
Went to the actual sundial, which is indicated as an "exploration area".

A mostly stealth playthrough of the Hidden Ones DLC mission "No Chains Too Thick". Bayek has to rescue two allies captured and held in a fort. I did get seen a few times, but thankfully not during the actual rescues. Some points of interest:
1:21 A cat started following me around. Couldn't resist going into photo mode. This character appears a few more times throughout the video, so keep an eye out.

Assassin's Creed Origins
Investigate the Scarab // Rescue Ghupa (The Scarab's Sting)
No Kills, No Detects
A fast little thing that I ended up doing when recovering from too many attempts on the actual Assassination.

Assassin's Creed Origins
The Scarab's Sting // Assassinate the Scarab
No HUD, No Detects, Story Playthrough
Bayek of Siwa finds the Scarab is perhaps more unpredictable than he might've thought. At the mercy of the desert heat, his link to Senu is all that saves his life. Deprived of his weapons, Bayek moves to retrieve his equipment before ending the Scarab's sadistic killings once and for all.

Haven't made any kind of skill-vid in a while and I'm basically incapable of staying in this plane of existence without producing something like this from time to time. Aya deserved more gameplay.
Assassin's Creed Origins
Aya: Blade of the Goddess
Story Playthrough, No HUD, No Damage, 60fps
Hard
Tempted to dive in but now I am considering the past games.
Will it be worth it for an old fan to get Unity and Syndicate?
I might do it for a slight plot refresh and a taste of gameplay again to get my psyched up. But I fear it may not be worth the $$.
What do you think THB?
