It's a real blow to my ego that I can no longer solve AC puzzles in 15 minutes or less. Can someone give me a hint (not the full solution, please) on how to proceed with the Sundial Puzzle?
This is what I've done so far:
Witnessed meteorite fall.
Explored tomb and saw depiction of sundial. Dial markings 1, 3, and 5 are bolded.
Bayek comments that the number "XV" must be important. If that's a Roman numeral then it's 15.
Went to the actual sundial, which is indicated as an "exploration area".
Sat on top of the gnomon from dawn to dusk to watch the sundial operation. Each dial point is a small tower.
While the gnomon's shadow falls on tower 1, 3, or 5, all three towers open up to reveal a glowing blue blob (which resembles the meteorite) and the numbers "I", "III", and "IIIII", respectively.
Observations:
"IIIII" is not actually a Roman numeral.
Multiplying 1 x 3 x 5 = 15. That may be a coincidence.
There are only 9 dial points, so there is no tower 15.
There seems to be a stone door on the wall between towers 4 and 5.
I haven't been able to get Bayek to interact with the towers when they open.
Senu doesn't sense anything particular in the exploration area.
First... this was part of a crossover event with FF XV ... hence the "XV must be important". I think it also is part of the puzzle solution.
It has been a while since I did this so I don't exactly recall...
Can you interact with the blue blobs/crystals at all? This statement indicates you have tried... "I haven't been able to get Bayek to interact with the towers when they open." ... Have you tried all ways to interact? Maybe from a distance?
Can offer more assistance if you're still stuck. It's not the most straightforward of AC puzzles.
*cough* see if there are any items you can loot nearby *cough*
Good hints! Thank you, guys.
Crystals make pretty sounds when arrows get shot at them.
Multiplying 1 x 3 x 5 = 15.
That's funny. The solution had more to do with addition than multiplication.
I didn't recognize the characters from Final Fantasy. At least they gave me some nice gear.
