Carnefice Assassination Variety Pack

Carnefice is the first main target of the game in sequence 2 memory 2. I was hoping to get some more creative assassinations of him but these will have to do.

Poetic Justice: During the mission I noticed the character sweeping on the executioner's stage (he's there only during daytime sequences), so I thought to myself what if I... I also added to the challenge by remaining unseen until the kill animation. Getting the broom to the roof of the building is a little tricky as it relies on luck, so you might have to try more than once to get it up there. I hope this is a good example of poetic justice because you're using the same broom that was used to clean the executioner's bloodied stage to spill the executioner's blood. I also like the in-your-face kill and how it turned out. And I'm not just talking about the kill animation.

Delaying the Memory Corridor Scene: This can be considered a preassassination. Carnefice isn't marked as a target until you reach a checkpoint. I use ranged attacks to kill some guards and lure Carnefice to me while standing a safe distance away from the checkpoint. When I kill Carnefice it results in a non story assassination. However when I activate the checkpoint after that the memory corridor scene starts and I complete the mission.

There is No Cliff: For this assassination I also delay in activating the checkpoint. I lead Carnefice to a nearby cliff and escape his detection. Then I activate the checkpoint. Since he didn't detect me after the checkpoint I can go far away from him without having to worry about failing the mission. I guessed that the cliff was harder to model in the game and would disappear at some distance. This was the first time I tried this and it all worked out well except for when the game froze for a second. Also notice that at ninety meters he starts falling (indicated by an arrow pointing down).

Glitched Parts of the Mission: A few things in the mission that are messed up.
1. When I rush in to fight Carnefice still carries on a conversation and backs away instead of fighting me. This doesn't last for long though.
2. Sometimes Carnefice will attack with his fists while holding the ax. I have found a way to manipulate this. Escape his detection then fight him again. I'm guessing that because he already has the ax unsheathed the game thinks he doesn't have a weapon since enemies unsheathe weapons to fight you.
3. If you send thieves after Carnefice or the guards in that place they just stand there. I don't think the mission is glitched or anything because I've had Carnefice chase thieves at other places. It's probably because that particular place is isolated so that they have no where to run.

I was actually hoping to get more creative assassinations, but it didn't work out well. I tried mysterious death using hyperblend but would always get spotted. Also tried silent kills with dead body luring but gave up. I'm glad I could get Carnefice with a non story preassassination since he is the only main target that didn't appear early before his assassination mission.

About that. I recorded on that tv before but the quality was awful(Zero Tolerance Assassination Variety Pack). This was because I recorded in the dark. But the other tv works better in the dark. Weird. Puzzled The quality now is just a little blurry. Glasses Also recently made another vid with the same quality, Between a Rock and a Hard Place Assassination Variety Pack. You might have missed it with all the new posts.

I did it before seeing the video. I felt like messing around. I got the thieves most likely from the same location that you did (it's the closest group, I believe), then just went in and sent them while standing in the front of the building (on the road). No climbing was involved. Smile

I tried doing poetic justice as well, but I couldn't find the guy after it'd become night. Also, I've been able to send in thieves in there. Maybe it's because the thief AI doesn't want to run towards Ezio that they get stuck?

How do you perform such kills between 2:18 and 2:22 ??? Is it only available with large swords or...?

I grab the guards while holding a weapon. Then I press attack to kill. In combat you just need to use the Empty hand button button in low profile to grab them.

Yeah, in the description it says that guy only appears in the daytime sequence. But did you try poetic justice before or after you saw this video? And how did it work with the thieves?
