same happened to my first copy of ACbrotherhood (my mother knocked it over while i was playing) it was playable until it got near the end lol.
so heres some advice
KEEP YOUR XBOX LAYING DOWN make sure the fan is on the side thats exsposed. or you could put the game back in its case after usage..( real simple right) hope this helps aviod futher similar problems
EDIT : with your new skill learned from arkham city.... go interrogate your roommate find out what really happend
Tried playing Arkham City tonight at friend's apartment. Played all the way to the Museum where you go look for Penguin and Freeze but I just couldn't get that into it. Might be because I have a huge headache for some reason...
There was a funny moment when while running around the first place you do the stealth takedowns I found Hush and my friend (who's beaten the game already and is a committed comic book reader/fan) flipped the fuck out because he didn't see him before. I was just like, "hey what happened to this dude?" And he said "wait, WHAT?!?!? IS THAT HUSH HOLY SHIT WHERE DID HE COME FROM?!?!?"
Was it a random encounter or did you finish that whole side mission?
I didn't know I had that option to do a side mission. I just talked to the doctor about how he stole drugs, then cut his face off while laughing hysterically, and now he has to recover while these bandages protect his face. By the way, with regards to the crate he was holding:

all i gotta do now is riddler , hush and dead shot
Deadshot was actually pretty easy. They build him up to be a badass and an equal to Batman's skills, but all I did was go from one cover to a second and then took him out. 3 steps and it's done. Kind of a let-down, I'd say. :/
i can't find the second trace you get from oracle( near the church)... well ,i can but when i get there its nothing to investigate.... riddler is easy to me well i only did three of his hostage missions,i hope they get challanging in the hostages to come.

Go to the courthouse where you saved Catwoman from Two-Face. There should be a device that helps you with riddles after you save the hostage. If that doesn't work, just look around more.
They do get harder. They require more gadgets each time. I think it's required to get EVERY riddler-related item in the game to get the final location.

If I could get that damn tax collector, I'd move on to the others. I'm trying to build up my money so that he'd be begging for it, but I got up to about 900000 and still nothing. I checked my map for his little symbol and it NEVER showed up. I heard they were rare, but jeeze.

Just change the date on your console. If you want it easy, just change it to every month manually and go see him each time.
see heres the thing,ive tried. but on Xbox slim there is an automatic parental advisory. so i can't change the date but i control the settings too !!!

So...I bought every DLC...Batman Beyond looks amazing flying around. 
And Robin is a blast. Nightwing is meh.

If you want more variety in gameplay, get the Nightwing/Robin DLC. I suggest Robin. He has better moves and is more fast-paced. And has 2 additional outfits compared to Nightwing's 1.
If you love playing as Batman, the costume pack is only $4 and is amazing. It comes with a ton of outfits, including Batman Beyond (my favorite). Choosing which one is entirely up to you, but you wont be disappointed either way.

I finally beat the riddler's side mission, i thought the boss fight was SOOOOOOOOOOOOO underdone. id think it be a little more dramatic and maybe more harder?....
