Moocher...

Anyways, the titan thing seemed lame, especially with the final boss, but Joker was using it to create an army of titan beasts to take over Gotham. It wasn't just an experiment. Keeping Bats busy in the asylum let the city become defenseless. As always, he's stopped before he can finish his plan.

he sayed BatmanArkhamCity will give us 40 PLUS HOURS OF GAMEPLAYYY!!!! WTF !!!

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Rick and Morty. The humor is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer's head. There's also Rick's nihilistic outlook, which

I'm sorry but I've always found Batman villains to be the stupidest of all (with the exception of the Joker). The only stupider villains are in Spiderman (Vulture is an old man dressed in green that flies around New York, Scorpion is essentially 1/4 of Doctor Octopus, and Rhino is the stupidest villain of all time, he's just a football player with a horn stapled to his skull. How terrifying) but the series also has some awesome villains as well like the Green Goblin, Venom, and Shocker.

Almost all of Batman's villains are symbolic of his psyche. They may sometimes seem ridiculous, but if you put them all together, they show Batman's insanity. Because he really is insane, he just utilizes it in a heroic fashion.

Joker is his polar opposite. He's happy all the time, kills people for fun, wears brighter colors, shows his face to the public on purpose, and makes jokes at every moment.

Batman is brooding and, possibly, the first emo. He has a strict rule against killing, wears the darkest colors, always hides himself so he can't be detected by the public or by criminals, and never speaks unless he has to outwit someone.

A few examples of why the villains are more like symbols than real threats:

Mr. Freeze: The hopeless romantic.

Penguin: Obsessive (of birds).

Bane: Batman's muscle and strategic mind amplified.

Catwoman: The female counterpart to Batman. Instead of being selfless, she is often selfish, performing robberies with skills that match Batman's. Basically what would happen if Batman grew up a spoiled brat.

Two-Face: One of the more obvious ones. Batman's split-personality. Who is the true face? Batman or Bruce Wayne? Harvey Dent or Two-Face?

Deadshot's a really badass assassin for hire. I don't like his Arkham City look, though. I'm sure he'll still be as awesome as he's been in the comics.

I am so stoked for Batman: Arkham City. Finally, die-hard Batman fans will be breaking their knee-caps as they try to get this fantastic game. From chaining attacks in FreeFlow combat, to hanging off of gargoyles, this game makes you feel like Batman!

I'm wondering if Christopher Nolan ever played Batman: Arkham Asylum?

I think the game could do without a Joker fight this time. He's sick. Crazy and willing, but sick. It would be awful if Batman has to find a cure for whatever he's afflicted with. Divided conscience. haha

Wow. I can't believe it with my own eyes. A free-roaming Batman game. Finally, I get to live my fantasy by gliding through the slums of Gotham (Arkham City).

I gotta say, it really does look like fun doing that. The animation looks more realistic, and the camera angles look more dramatic!

Is it me, or does the animation seems SLIGHTLY choppy. While Batman moves much faster in City, I can't help but notice the small frame-rate hold-up. This is probably taken into account as the number of animations has practically doubled, and the development team would want to reduce any loading time as much as possible.

It's tough to judge framerates based on a video as the source framerate might have been much higher than the capture rate or the final conversion setting. We'll have to see how it actually pans out in a few weeks. Worst case, there's always the PC version. Big smile

The thing that bugged me in that video was the animation for hopping the railing. Clearly the animation was designed for ground level, as Batman takes a couple of steps after "landing" on the other side of the fence. The animation was obviously not designed to be interpolated into a fall or glide. With the immense attention to detail you'd think things like that wouldn't be overlooked. Given that the game went gold last week, it's unlikely to be addressed.

Good eye, man. Though they're plenty of animation bugs and clips more than that. A prime example is Batman's cape clipping over the thug. I'm assuming Rocksteady doesn't want to put too much physics in the cape, otherwise it'd just bounce around the entire screen.

JOKER'S CARNIVAL MAP

Harley Quinn: Welcome to Mr. J’s carnival. You must be 74 inches to ride. Guests with heart condition, vertigo, or who are not trained in martial arts should not ride. Please keep arms and hands moving at all times. Park is not responsible for any damage, loss or injury to neck, back, face, ribs groin, spleen or other vital organs.

Enjoy!

I kind of miss Arleen Sorkin as Harley Quinn. Tara Strong is good, but lacks that certain...pitch in her voice. Plus, her Brooklyn accent isn't that very strong, though this can be accounted for Harley's breakdown due to the Joker dying.
