Sometimes I'm like I have to share this screenshot, but there's no topic to put it, so there.
Haha. The first one is just funny
The second one captures everything an Assassin should be. It shows Altair's stealth while also likeneing him to an eagle, of course. Very cool
EDIT: The second screenshot looks really cool as my desktop background

Here's a png of the whole screenshot:

I really like that picture. It's as if Altair was bowing before the eagle.
hahaha. the first one is in the bureau, right? did one dead body just take a little longer to fall in?
No, actually it got stuck mid air.
hahaha, that first one is great The second one is astonishing! The way you lined up Altiar's nose to that of the eagles and how Altiar looks so transfixed on his memories. Excellent shots.
I can't help but be amazed anew everytime I see AC landscapes, especially from the highest view points. I love how all the city noise slowly fade out as you climb higher and higher, until you hear nothing but the wind at the very top ; then when you jump it's all coming back very fast, citizens growing from specks to figures and the heralds' speeches resuming. Beautiful screenshots, al-Assas.
These pictures are like a feast. Thank you for posting them!
How did you get the shot of the city like that? Excellent job!
Well, thank you.
... Also, how did I get Altair on top of the Damascus city wall?
And on top of the wall of the Masyaf fortress...?
I'm experimenting with Cheat Engine. It's for finding values in games and then changing them.
Those archers on the walls at Masyaf, they attack you with their swords when you get close to them for some reason.

That would make a nice video, a walkthrough to using cheat engine for AC.
I also enjoy the herald's voices fading out. -.-
But wow, those screens are amazing!
Can you get some shots of the castle in Jerusalem that overlooks the cemetery where you fight Maria (what it looks like, from the top, looking out from it, etc.). I've always been intrigued by this building but have never actually been able to examine it well because of the inability to climb it in the game.
yes, do that
David's citadel from the inside:
Jerusalem western gate from the outside:
East lake village:
Forest village:
Acre:
I love how faithful these recreations of these cities are!
Is it just me, or does David's citadel look empty? As in, no content or floor or something?
Ye, it's a walled pasture.
How are you getting aerial views?
Wrong question, Calvar!
How are you so awesome?!?
Wait, what if you got Aerial views of all the districts (possibly sections of the kingdom), then gave them to Stab so he could create even more detailed maps?
Are you able to use Cheat Engine with AC2 and ACB as well?
the aerial maps are beautiful (!) but a little harder to interpret than the usual maps, but there might be a nice way to still use them... like a google earth function in 1191. can you do something similar for acre and jerusalem?
The aerial view looks a lot like the flag maps from the Prima Guide. I prefer Asaic's maps because they match the in-game maps. That's useful when you're trying to find a flag or feather.
Asaic once mentioned a PC mod that let you move the camera independently from Altaïr/Desmond. It looks as if you've achieved the same thing with Cheat Engine. If so then you may be able to solve the timeless mystery of Evil Face! People are always saying that it's the inside of Desmond's face but I disagree. Here's how to settle it:
If Desmond momentarily appears on the Animus then I will admit that I was wrong.
I'm pretty sure it's Desmond's face. I always thought it was just a bad glitch on Ubi's part when they made the game.
I can understand why people think it's the inside of Desmond's face. One weakness with that theory is it doesn't explain why it only happens after finishing the game. My theory is explained in the video - that it's a misplaced Piece of Eden icon.
Anyway, here's hoping that al-Assas and his magical Cheat Engine can answer the question once and for all.
Here's Desmond's face from the inside:
It's the same! It must be him!
The nose is the same and the eyes are pretty close. That's good enough for me. I'm convinced.
The mouth doesn't look the same at all. al-Assas' picture shows white teeth, just as one would expect. Evil Face looks like black gaps between narrow separators. It must be the wrong angle to see teeth.
I'm still curious why this only happens after beating the game. Presumably they switch off the Desmond character while he's lying on the Animus (he also disappears during certain cutscenes with Lucy). Is the glitch that they switch him back on while loading a Memory Block after beating the game? The procedure I outlined above can answer that question.

Btw, do you not have a Windows computer? Are you not a great hacker? Do you not want to try this Cheat Engine thing out, maybe? It can be used to make wonderfully magical trainers by ppl more adept at coding than I am.
Acre looks spectacular, great shots!
Here's something you don't see every day.

What the hell? I've never seen this before! It was posted the same day I moved out of my last house, so my computers were down and I was preoccupied. Thank you for creating this video to my specifications, al-Assas.

Ha ha. Well, I own a Windows computer but it probably couldn't run Assassin's Creed. I write software-only graphics engines, so my computer doesn't have any graphics hardware beyond what is on chip. Other than that it's a fine computer.
Software-only graphics engines? That sounds exciting. What are they used for?
I tried Cheat Engine on ACIII as well, but didn't get far with it, it's not very interesting, because knowing when the guard's hit points run out is not important for getting nice finishing animations.
What would be interesting is making a mod that would kill Altair when he gets hit, or maybe even when he draws some attention. But I could never figure out how to do it.
Cheat Engine could also help in confirming some things, if al-Assas or anyone else with Cheat Engine is up to it.

I write photorealistic rendering software for film and special effects. Here are a couple of scenes from The Matrix that were rendered with my program RenderDotC:
Wow. stabguy just became even more impressive than he already was. And I thought that was impossible.
Oh, of course, that. It's just so hard for my brain to wrap itself around the enormous coolness of it, that I somehow forgot.
Apparently Altair is the first assassin who can dual wield...
with one hand behind his back!
Hope this is the right topic for this. Check out these outfit mods!
So I've been trying to get good screenshots in Odyssey whenever my character levels up and it does that glowing effect for a few seconds. Thing is you have to time it just right and take the screenshot before the effect disappears. Here is what I've gotten so far:
