Looks dissapointingly similar to brotherhood at first glance, let's hope that they live up to their word when they say that they've improved it alot.

Also, anyone else want co-op missions. Not in the mains tory but so that you can do proper assassin stuff with a friend? I'm hoping that it's implemented for AC3.

Co-op would be brilliant. It would have made sense in Brotherhood (you know, like an actual Brotherhood, Ubi?) but hopefully they'll but it into Revelations.

I don't mind the MP being similar as it wasn't bad for Brotherhood, but I do want to see improvements and developments and perhaps a few new modes.

The main differences will be in the perks and abilities, which they didn't show. And also the improved matchmaking (REJOICE). The new characters look awesome, looks like they have expressions that change now!

I was kind of disappointed that they showed only kill animations in new settings. I really hope they actually do something with the MP. Also, wasn't coop already confirmed? I remember reading something to that effect. Tongue

I remember that they wanted to get more story-oriented with the multiplayer so that it's not just a run-n-stab game. I did also hear that they'd put in "story" missions for multiplayer. Taking out Assassins? Evil

Maybe something where you raid an Assassin hideout and kill their leader. Maybe something Splinter Cell's Mercs vs Spies multiplayer(except no Mercs).

It would be amazing if they made free-roam online like in Red Dead Redemption and you could roam around with your Brotherhood (posse) and carry out raids like Jedted mentioned, similar to the gang hideouts in RDR. This won't happen though FLAE's eye roll

I always thought this would be an awsome idea for multiplayer. Why limit matches to 8 players when you could have a hundred assassins running around Rome trying to assassinate each other.

It's probebly impossible but maybe one day.

Just being able to walk around a whole city with loads of other real players would be incredible. With RDR they managed it with a whole, huge region so surely one city is possible...?

When MP was announced for Brotherhood I imagined running around with fellow THBers as one Brotherhood and exploring Rome while killing other players. Of course, realistically this was never going to be the case but it is a distant dream Shy

Having lots of players in one smaller space is more difficult than having them on a big map, actually. If there is free-roam, they would have to figure out what happens when a guy gets air-assassinated at the same time by two people.

Maybe they'll do this in AC3 or one of the many other AC games coming out after the main trilogy is ended. I'd love to have like 5 THB users with me, coordinating silent kills, giving the final stab to Stabguy himself. Cool

Was watching some offscreen gameplay, I saw what looked like a bomb ability (like, kill you bomb), and morph.

Okay to the Ubisoft Montreal employee that regularly reads this forum if you are paying attention you better make this sh*t happen as soon as possible. Assassin's Creed free-roam would make up for all the sh*tty story assassinations in Brotherhood and then some.

Quick update on multi, from some of the videos, the bomb ability is a trap thing. I don't know if it kills what it hits, probably just stuns, but the players playing were too terrible for me to tell either way, since they didn't hit anything.

good stuff on context sensitive kill animations: the stealthier your bar is when you kill, the quicker your animation ends.

Also, beside your name you'll have an indicator of your most-used ability. I think it's a good idea, gives newbies an idea of what pros use, and gives pros more ability to plan.

As one of the few who hasn't played the multiplayer portion of the game, this would be very welcomed by me. I would get into multiplayer 100% if they incorporated this. I have no desire to play online against a bunch of people that I don't know. It would be a lot of fun to play multiplayer in a team scenario. It would be a blast to hunt with a pack mentality.

yes! shorter cut scenes will make it much better! usually half way through i here "You have been stunned" in manhunt.

and the free roam would be awesome but i would probably be the one running around yelling LEEROY JENKINS! hence my gamertag: LEEROY696

With perfectly executed team assassinations by THB, we could take the Youtubeverse by storm if it was all recorded.

I'd love to have one of us just walk right into a fortress, turning the camera (whilst walking) so viewers can see each epic guard kill by the other players. Then, the walking player flawlessly executes the target with their fellow Assassins/Templars surrounding from the rooftops, making it look easy.

It looks pretty much the same thing as Brothehrood, and i kinda like that because i want them to focus on the most important part of the game, the singleplayer.
Ubi said that they added more abilities and perks, and game modes and also made the "matchmaking" much more faster.

I like the throwable firecrackers. Now you won't have to stand right next to your target while you use it, giving them a window for a free stun.

What would be considered a "stunt" in multiplayer? Since there's no fall damage, but still the opportunity to perform dangerous-looking kills, I was thinking that this could be considered for stylish assassinations, but on actual people.

Yesterday, I was in Venice playing chest capture. I saw the compass pointing to a target below me (I was on the main rooftop that divides the map). I was running straight across (long-ways) towards the city area, away from the water. I noticed that the compass was showing them moving in front of my eventual path if I jumped off.

I thought, "There's no way this will actually work."

I took my leap of faith (not into the hay, I just jumped off onto the ground) and landed right in front of him, rolled into him, and mashed the assassinate button. It worked flawlessly as if everyone was in on it.

It looked even better since I was playing as the Prowler. His cape flowing behind him with the run and jump, and the mock-hidden blade lunge. It was "that word" if any of you did that on a whim.

You know what I would like to see in multiplayer? I think it would be cool if you could go out of the animus and free roam in the buildings of Abstergo. Chat with other people, organize events and learn more about the Templars and Abstergo.

Maybe it could be used as a social club with collectibles and backstory. You can even see how Templars describe the Assassins (Desmond, Lucy, Shaun, etc) in their database. Great idea!

^ Basically this. The Contested kill is just awesome. Maybe not what we expected but still fair enough for both assassin and target.

Did the person lock the pursuer when they did the contested kill? If not, then that would make more sense to be fair. If the target has enough time to lock you, then you need to work on your approach.

This game mode looks perfect for some THB team action.

And I saw in a video earlier this week that we'll be able to create our own emblems to put on our characters, at least for team modes. THB symbol? Aww yeah Cool

Lots of questions answered in this one. His accent was pretty thick. I couldn't understand a few things, but I thought I heard him say that the bomb making mode from singleplayer will be included in multiplayer. And now we can access all multiplayer menus while we wait for a game to load up! Smile

(And the screenshot of the video below shows a unique emblem one of the players created for their multiplayer skin in the lower right corner. If we make THB symbols similar to the new icon, it may have to be bright red to show up on most of the clothing.)
