Assassins Creed Unity Sequence 13 Memory 6 a Crown of Thorns.
The last memory of the sequence and assassination of Captaine Rose.
Stealth
Before the fight with Captaine Rose, it's a challenge just to get to him without being seen.
Using just the hidden blade it's not that hard to make your way through the area. Also took the opportunity to achieve the double assassinations challenge.
When you start down the large flight of stairs, wait for the two guards to pass by and quickly assassinate them. Then kill the raider captain from the safety of a cover. This will cause some nearby guards to flee, making your stealth path easier.
Continuing along the route, corner kill the stationary guard. I've gotten see before by the patrolling guard during this kill, but with the timing in the video I haven't.
Now wait till the patrolling guard can't see you and hang off the edge. By this time some guards will notice the bodies of your first kill. Shimmy your way across and kill the patrolling guard, then the two posted guards. You will complete the double assassinations challenge.
When you reach the next two guards, keep an eye out to your right for guards. Kill them when the coast is clear. You won't have to worry about enemies for the rest of this as long as you keep to the roofs.
Early Death
Now that you've reached the target, time to pre-kill him. Getting close to the area starts the scene, so lure him with a firecracker from a safe distance away. Other guards will also arrive, which can be dealt with using poison bombs.
Now sneak up on the target and... he can't be assassinated or knocked out. Immune to poison bombs and berserk darts. Combine that with lots of health and you're looking at a high level boss.
Now here's the thing: If you kill him then it actually causes the scene to start. Not sure why, maybe killing him is supposed to start the next checkpoint regardless of what part you are in the memory.
Anyway, he respawns after the cutscene, so the pre-assassination is just for fun.
Stunt Kill
If you don't like the fact you have to engage the target in combat to assassinate him, quickly throw a smoke bomb and climb up the wall. Then proceed to climb the first wall up.
Wait until you become anonymous to take out almost all his health. Eight phantom blade bolts and one guillotine gun shot is just enough.
A small problem with the stunt is that you sheath a weapon when you jump. Even so the kill went smoothly.
54 Meter Shot
There are a few places the target will go when searching for you. Use that as an advantage to kill him from afar with the guillotine gun, after taking out nearly all his health of course. The aiming for the gun is designed so you can aim from farther away on an area below you.
Drowning
No need to lay a hand on Captaine Rose. Getting an enemy into water in Unity is hard because you can't knock them off almost all places. Luckily there is a spot in this mission the target can walk right into the water.
Simultaneous Deaths
Another fun kill that involves dying when the memory scene is loading. The best way to do this is to have an enemy perform a finishing move on you during combat right after the target is dead.
The result is desynching during the beginning of the scene. Any earlier and the scene won't start because the game is already loading you out.
I've been thinking if you died a little bit later the game might not desynch you until after the scene, in which case a checkpoint will be reached.
Anonymous Blitz
Dead in only a few seconds, and without detection. As mentioned in the above description, the target is invulnerable to a wide variety of kills while he still has full health. One kind was overlooked: Headshots.
Now the fight takes a mere three seconds to end. Combine this with the previous stealth run and you've got a completely stealthy assassination. Just too bad Arno is forced into detection later on.
It's a bit tricky to perform as fast a possible. You have to start out running to get the target in range for the kill. Then you have to aim and shoot, which requires the same button as running. I also had to nudge the right analog stick to the lower left to get the cross hairs pointed right at the target's head. Since this isn't perfect I had to try it over and over again until it worked.
One more thing. When you first start the fight, Captaine Rose is by himself. But on a checkpoint reload other guards are also present with him. Because of this, the kill is anonymous only on a run of the memory.
Spawning Glitch
When the pre-fight scene starts, the target despawns. Sometimes the target doesn't respawn afterward. It might have to do with becoming anonymous after detection during this part of the mission (sometimes guards here disappear when you escape from them). You can progress no further.
Nice video Aurl.
Do you think it is possible to get Rose above ground?
@ Double McStab yeah you should, it's free and the mortar gun can be fun to toy around with.
Suspecting Rose would be a target, I kept track of whenever he appeared and it's just for scenes, although he might be prestaged for some of them. After finding the Early Death in his assassination mission I didn't bother looking for other ones. Feel free to investigate other possible Captaine Rose Early Deaths.
Some people say Ubisoft is getting as bad as the company EA, but I disagree. Ubi is quick to patch problems, and they released the DLC for free to make up for complaints. Still some decency in there.

That much, I can agree on.
It's cool that at least SOME of the Assassinations have cool things that can be done with them (which hasn't really been seen for a while, that's VERY GOOD and major kudos in terms of that) such as Sivert's, and "A Dinner Engagement." Despite the fact that the game's overall fluidity and mission design has taken a lethal nose-dive into a waterless pool, its successes should be highlighted HARD. Maybe they'll pay attention.
maybe i should download and play the DLC...
