This is done on the 1st assassination mission in the game
The reason you need to take out the guards is because...if any guards join the conflict when Carnifice is chasing you, Carnifice will flee and there isnt a way you can stop him..not one ive found at least (he breaks your grabs)
With AC:B's aggresive combat system, its easier to take out 5 or 6 guards instead of finding and alternate route to lead Carnifice down.
And this fall WILL kill you. Making it eagle, right (:?
This is one of the reason i'll never be able to pull off an Eagle Strike myself, i just don't have the level of patience required for the set up.

Well after burning through about 4 sequences, i decided it was time to see if i could attempt a stunt assassination, and this one was the only one I could find suitable. I wanted to pull off an eagle strike on him, but it seemed impossible at first because where he was...was impossible for a good stunt. Then i remembered that some targets in AC2 will follow you, so i tried that here. And what do ya know, it works xD So I manage to pull off a nice stunt assassination on him, but i was determined to pull off an eagle for the 1st one of brotherhood, and here is where i am now xD The information i gathered in Carnfice is just from simple observation (:

yep. if any guards join conflict while you're in conflict with Carnifice (while hes following you) Carnifice breaks and runs and theres no way u can stop him, ive tried. He breaks your grab
Nice! I take it the long route was to clear out any guards that may cause problems later...?
