The Carlo Grimaldi assassination is somewhat scripted and linear, so I put as much creativity in this video as possible.
Early look in the Doge's palace and preassassination: I get in the scene with the Doge and Carlo when scouting the place with Antonio. To do this start by putting Antonio by the scene start portal. Then go into the palace (I airwalk in there). Get in open conflict. Then climb up near Antonio, tell him to follow, tell him to stop when he's on the portal. The scene won't start as long as you are exposed, and make sure you climbed up close to Antonio so he doesn't teleport in the palace. Get in place where the scene is, and kill the guards to become anonymous. The scene will start with you in it. I assassinate Carlo two times. When the scene ends you can move right before you are teleported to another scene. Carlo disappears when the first scene ends, so I only start doing the kill animation. Right before the scene starts Carlo and the Doge appear. If you time it right you can kill Carlo. He falls down dead instead of walking and talking with the Doge.
Eagle Strike: For this I leave one guard alive before I start the scene before the assassination. Carlo runs to one of his waypoints as long as there are still any guards alive (which waypoint he runs to depends on where you are). For this I had planned to catch on the lowest ledge, but instead I grabbed on a higher ledge and air assassinated pretty quickly.
Blitz: After the scene I simply jump to the balcony outside the room and air assassinate.
Dynamic Stunts: I manipulate Carlo's travel pattern to set him up for dynamic stunts. First I kill all the guards in the palace except for the archers and any that run away. I think there's a trick to keep him moving. Always stay by him when you're fighting, and when you kill the last guy make sure Carlo is moving instead of standing at one of his waypoints. Use a knife to take down his health to grab him, then drag him up the stairs all around the second story in the palace until you get to the dead end. You have more than enough time to climb to the roof for the dynamic stunts. The first one is run directly off the roof to the stairs. The second one is a jump near the bottom of the stairs. I didn't think you could jump to the lower part of the stairs without landing on the railing, in which case you stumbled. But many thanks to Hit468 for finding the spot on the roof to jump. A jump from the roof to the ground will kill Ezio, so jumping near the bottom of the stairs is just shy of killing him.
Additional Stunts: This has the same setup as the dynamic stunts except you hang on a ledge and jump off when Carlo runs down the stairs.
Springloaded Air Assassination: There's nothing special about this. It's just for the sake of variety and demonstrating game mechanics. I kill Carlo at one of his waypoints.
Blooper Stunt: While trying a dynamic stunt I land in front of Carlo and get shoved by him. Thought I should show this just because.
Amazing stuff!
Amazing stuff!
I'm glad there's at least one thing about this game you don't completely despise.
But tell me, what parts did you like the best and why?
Really good stuff on the preassassination, im confident you will keep finding new stuff in this game, cant wait for you to expose brotherhood as well once the hype dies down to re spark my interests in it
Yeah. I will get Brotherhood one way or the other (I hope). Some game store has to have it, and Ubisoft can't bribe all of them to keep it away from me.

So that's the trick! I had tried to insert Ezio into the cutscene by telling Antonio to stop outside the portal. The far end of the courtyard (where the cutscene takes place) is just outside of the range where you can tell Antonio to follow, so my plan failed.
Once again, creative stuff, aurll.

I like attempting the impossible. And you can call me Aurel.
