Assassin's Creed Chronicles: Russia
Memory Sequence 1: Dawn of the Tsars
Difficulty: Plus Hard
Style: Ghost / Shadow Gold (No Kills, No Sightings, No KOs) Speedrun
In Plus Hard difficulty:
- Enemy Vision Cones are only visible in Eagle Vision
- Nikolai and Anastasia only have 1 HP
- Upgrades and Helix Abilities carry over into the New Game+
Killing certain guards or causing Alerts in certain areas does not nullify Shadow Gold mission rating.
Cool. Glad you found fun in something else while we all wait for the next major title.
A couple thoughts:
1 - how many smoke bombs do you get? There were only two times you had to stall and "break flow" (as you like to call it) in this run that I saw. First on the bridge at about 4 minutes in and second hanging on the building after shooting out the light. An extra smoke bomb I think would speed up the bridge, but if you don't have one to spare it would be hard to do this faster.
2 - Mechanics I like: sniper rifle, literal hiding in the shadows.
3 - Gameplay aesthetics that I like: the cut between indoor and outdoor with building graphics, running right at the screen in a 2D game (I guess this makes it 2.5D?)
4 - This type of game gives the illusion of 3D gameplay when really being pretty linear. It's better than typical Assassin's Creed these days that give you a 3D world to play with, but still have linear missions.
1. I have 6 Smoke Bombs. I considered using them to speed things up, I'm not sure why I didn't. Good catch.
2. I'm a fan of those mechanics too.
3. If you're a fan of this kind of stuff, I suggest picking up all the AC Chronicles games. They're very hardcore Stealth games and combat is almost impossible in them, not to mention they blatantly score you on how well you stay Undetected, but if you're into that kind of thing and this type of gameplay, you can feel free to pick up the Disc version which has all three Chronicles games on one disc.
4. I agree a bunch that in some ways, the Chronicles games are better games than a lot of the traditional AC games.
I really like the way you play ACC.
Thank you gerund, that's a huge compliment to me.
I'll probably continue recording the rest of the game, if I find it enjoyable enough to do so. Same goes for India, which I kind of abandoned unintentionally a while ago.
During the parts where there are two guys talking and you pickpocket one of them, why doesn't the other guy see you?
cause he's sneaky
In Assassin's Creed Chronicles games, enemies who are in the "having a Conversation" State do not have any Vision Cones. The only way to get their vision cones back is to catch their attention either by bumping into them or making noise around them. This is one of the mechanics unique to the Chronicles sub-series, there are a few others too, which slip my mind right now.
