The goal here was to assassinate William Johnson by bear while he was still running. Thus Dynamic Human Bait. It was more challenging than anticipated because there are two time requirements:
The bear walks slowly. If you play your cards right, you have 3:30 to find the bear and slow walk him over to Johnson's escape road. The key is to aggravate the guards on the dock at the proper moment (and to remain Anonymous up until that point). It starts with a brazen escape past four guards at the respawn point. As long as you give them a wide berth and don't do any free-running, they will yell at Connor but not enter Open Conflict. If they do enter Open Conflict then it's too late. Johnson starts running for the dock.
I believe this swan dive is the highest in the area. Aurel is already talking of an Eagle Strike from this log. Once in the water, aim for the left end of the log lying on the far shore. This is approximately 10m from the bear.
Use the map to place a user marker on the animal. This allows you to turn your back on him and still monitor his distance. Try to keep the distance between 9 and 12 meters. Any closer than 8 meters and the bear strikes. More than 15 and he loses interest.
The trickiest part is killing the guards on the dock while maintaining proper distance from the bear. Finishing animations take so long that the bear can get close enough to attack. If you give him too much room, the bear will start swimming back to his beach. Perhaps it would be simpler to fight with a pistol or something.
The bear doesn't like to follow Connor up the road and requires more attention. I found another well-placed bear between the house halfway up the road and the waterfalls to the south. This bear basically refused to follow Connor anywhere north of the house.
1. Thank you! Great to see that you're back!
2. When I wanted to try and recreate it, things got all buggy. That, or Connor has a bear.
EDIT: This will be the last picture, I promise.

That picture is fantastic.... or would be if you could turn the money notification off.... I thought they fixed that?
Ah man you have no idea how great it is to see people experimenting with this idea. Sorry I'm so late, I saw the video a few days ago but was occupied with some other things. Well done stabguy! Yes man!
This video is getting more attention on YouTube than my other William Johnson entry. I guess people are intrigued by the phrase "Human Bait". Whenever someone comments on the creative assassination style I tell them to thank DAZ.
No way, two vids from Stabguy in just two days! I think it's safe to say he's back in the game for good. *sprinkles holy water*
Ha ha. I was going to put Human Bait in the Full Sync video but decided it was important to show the Setup. That made it too long for one video so I split it.
When I heard you were going to do a full synch vid with human bait and saw the latter wasn't in the vid, I thought you might have given up. For those of you wondering how I heard, I have my ways . It's not like Stabguy tells me about his vids beforehand (now why would he do a thing like that?) Anyway, I had originally reserved the *sprinkling holy water* for AC3. I was so sure it would live up to the first and second game that I would pronounce it cleansed from the impurities that affected the side sequels.
For you, stab...
(a round of applause)
Hey, Cheese. Your circle reminds me to tell you that I got a set of Buckyball magnets as a stocking stuffer. (Not a moment too soon as they've been discontinued!) You'll have to give me some tips on making Platonic solids or whatever.
All the cool things are getting discontinued.
To make platonic solids, just make sure they're not sleeping together or otherwise getting amorous.
Oh. My. Goodness.
Amazing.
Wow, thanks Lisa! Sorry I wasn't around to reply sooner but I was busy finishing the game. Now I can finally wade through your Free Range Discussion.
