Pros: Obviously Ubi will correct the mistakes they made on AC1, ie...repetetive quests, useless waste of time areas like the kingdom (I hope). I expect the combat will be harder (although the ppl that fought in the demos some of us saw does not prove that, who knows what experience they had with AC1). An expanded story line will be most welcome and some actual personality in the main char (Ezio) will be nice. Altair was a bit "dry". The ability to steal weapons from a guard. That's great. Having notoriety play a role. I hope this has a major impact on the game. It was supposedly a significant factor in the first game yet it held no major side effects if the creed was not kept. I think AC2 will correct some of that.
Cons: (Keep in mind this is my opinion but may not be accepted by all) The expanded weapons and armor system and currency. I fear that this aspect of the game will nullify certain 'stunt' assassinations by attributions to gear and/or weapons. Also the simplicity that appealed to some (like me) will be complicated with this new addition. Of course this is conjecture and may not play into the game in any significant way. If pros outweigh cons, I'm cool with that.
What is your opinion?
Cons: The framing is terrible. Crowds and buildings just appear out of the blue without warning, sometimes right in front of you. It's almost as bad as GTA IV and Midnight Club. In a sense, Ubisoft has sunken to the level of Rockstar. Hopefully this has just been some film recording glitch and is not actually present in the game.
Pros: Everything else. I have very high hopes for AC2 and, now that I have beaten Modern Warfare 2 and experienced it's multiplayer, think that it can beat out MW2 and all other challengers (including Uncharted 2, which everyone has ditched now that MW2 is out) for Game of the Year.
lilkody: Everything you find is a con is there because of variety, something the first game seldom had. They're trying to make variety ever-present in this game, and with good reason, because that's what the reviewers ate up after it's release two years ago. I understand your concern, but most people, myself included, consider it a positive thing. It's going to keep the game fresh. And I'm sure Stab and Ian will find a way around the issue of stunt assassinations. Right?... RIGHT?!?!?
FLAE, the popping was an early bug, demos from the last month haven't had that problem.
By the way, I'm sbredflag.
I'm going to try to keep this short...
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
Pros: This game will totally out-do the first game and many other games in similar genres as well. It will offer tons of replay value and will have many secrets and stunts and tricks to be found for months, possibly even years to come.
Cons: I probably won't get anything done over the next couple of weeks.
Pros: Virtually everything. Greater variety of missions, more weapons, a currency system, etc, etc.
Cons: IMO, probably just that weapon wheel (yeah, I still don't like it much).

Haha, my hubby is already preparing for the several days after Sept 17th and I have warned him. Forget dinner, forget laundry...it's AC baby! I'm just thankful Thanksgiving is over a week away or I might be hardpressed to make it for family dinner.
