As of 7/12/22 Valhalla has arrived on steam. A interesting move from Ubi. I won't be buying it but lets hope that mirage will also come to steam. It is also now confirmed by Ubi that Valhalla (Steam) will not include achievements. That sucks for the 3 people playing this game.
haha jk
maybe...
In other Valhalla news the game has also received its final content update fittingly titled "The Final Chapter".
From news.xbox.com:
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s final narrative update, The Last Chapter, is available now for all Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, Steam and Ubi players. Now that Eivor has forged their alliances and established a strong foothold for their clan, it’s time for them to reconcile their visions of Odin. On this free, final journey, Eivor will reunite with old friends and foes in the conclusion of their story. Players can also embark on the new Shared History quest, which introduces Eivor to Basim’s mentor Roshan (voiced by the Emmy-winning actress Shohreh Aghdashloo).
If you have made it far enough into the game to reach the final chapter well done I guess.
Thoughts?
I played Valhalla last weekend and expected a pop-up saying "New DLC available for download". No such luck. I will figure out where to get it, even though I'm not nearing the end of the game.

I'd recently talked to a guy who said he didn't pirate games because he liked seeing notifications pop up whenever he got an achievement; and then Ubi goes and does this lmfao.
Honestly I really like achievements as well. Massive shame but then again its not like I was going to 100% Valhalla anyway.
I adore them too, seeing as I've been 100%ing every game I touch now; but sailing the high seas has a benefit that far outweighs achievements.
