I saw some blitz assassinations here so I thought I'd do my part! Apologies Altair Auditore for stealing your look, I promise it was an accident.
Also note that from where Basim is standing at the beginning of the video you can see the second guard behind the marksman. To time the jump and subsequent focus up to the marksman you need to wait until the second guard bends to the side and his head is obscured by a post. Waiting about a second or half a second from when you notice this guarantees you won't be spotted.
This is by no means the quickest route, I just dislike treading the same ground (especially within a matter of seconds) when choreographing routes. Perhaps my personal assassin fantasy demands I move forwards and through an environment, instead of dipping my toe in it and running away.
ANYWAY
A few ways to speed it up include:
- aim quicker.
- after taking out the marksman, try focusing to the Harbourmaster and then back to the second archer on the platform to get away quickly.
- jump off from the sheltered area towards where you came from. there will be two guards beneath you. You should be able to knife one and focus to the other, or smoke one and focus to him, and you're done! At least if you don't get spotted by the patrol just outside, but I'm sure you'll be fine
However there are a couple cons to this approach: a lot of Assassin Focus, and no unity cover kill animations D:
I like the part at the beginning where you use Assassin's Focus as a means of transportation. That's something we should look into exploiting further.
Is the Harbourmaster the guy with the helmet assassinated at 0:27?

It's quite usefull sometimes, you can even use while jumping/diving.
I used it to easily get into the fortress for the warlord wasif missions. Dive of the crane thing at the back, target kne of the guards on the wall and you're in.

Yup, that's the one. Honestly I feel bad I didn't dignify him with a proper assassination animation.

I like it too, it makes me feel like I'm "tricking" the Animus. There's not much in Mirage that grounds the player in the modern day, and using Assassin's Focus in such a way is perhaps the last thing I'd expect to do that for me.
