Is this possible. Cuz i've been using phone and Xbox for about a month now and i was thinking. Wow how convienent would a THB app be.
So is it possible?
If someone wants to take the time to develop and bug test it, then submit it through the appropriate channels to have it accepted as a legit app. It would take months.
Or they could do it as an unofficial app, in which case you would need to root/jailbreak your device to use it. It would still require the same amount of development and testing time.
There's no money to be made by it, so it would have to be a labor of love. It really depends on whether or not we have a member who has the knowledge, time and desire to make such a thing.
Meh. Hit or miss with this idea. It depends on the user and what's included (quick access to Flag videos, Asaic's maps, etc).
You're looking for a mobile site, rather than an app. Drupal has a plugin for that, but it's probably going to break some of the tweaks Stab made.
Somebody else once asked for a mobile version of this site and I looked into that Drupal module. You're right, Phi. It wouldn't be a simple integration.
Google Webmaster Tools sent me an unsolicited email about this site: "Google systems have tested 1,110 pages from your site and found that 100% of them have critical mobile usability errors." That's impressive: 100%. I don't believe in doing things half-assed.
They had some suggestions for making the site mobile-friendly. It's essentially a redesign. We've never had one of those.
What are your experiences using the site from a smartphone? Is it so bad that you gave and waited until you got home?

Everything would be super tiny and awkward from a phone browser. I always wait to get on my laptop at home, even if it'd be more convenient to bring it up on my phone.
Works fine from my phone.
It's pretty small on my phone, but it's doable. It's much more pleasing to browse the site on a laptop, or even a tablet though.
I don't browse THB on my phone.
I've literally never thought to browse TheHiddenBlade from a phone, mine or anyone else's.
I've always just thought it was a badass, clandestine experience to partake in from a larger computer ;]
I always have to watch the vids on full screen so that I can appreciate them. Plus, it is easier to be long-winded on PC. If I commented more often....
Thank you for all the feedback. To summarize the results: THB already works fine on a smartphone and most of you wouldn't use it from a smartphone even if it worked perfectly. Therefore, there's no compelling reason for a redesign.
