I really like the look and sound of this assassination. It's like there's a sonic boom that blows everyone back.
There's nothing complicated going on here. Throw a sticky bomb on the target, wait, and then air assassinate. Timing is critical, however. If a lethal bomb goes off before you reach the target, you fall straight down without a kill animation. If the bomb goes off too late, it just looks wrong. There is also an element of luck involved... some kill animations look better because the camera is caught in the blast, such as the opening example. I used English powder and shrapnel for this video.
I'd like to credit Altair92 for figuring out how to reach the top of the wall.
I think we could get some blitzes done now thanks to bombs, for some templar dens I have killed captains by simply throwing bombs over buildings and taken them out.
Another thing that I tried is to place in the middle of the arena a tripwire bomb before reaching the checkpoint, but unfortunately after the cutscene the bomb disappears.
my original design for this mission was to lay down a tripwire bomb and go for a simultaneous air assassination. in the end, i figured using a fuse would be easier.
Nice. I'm wondering if there could be an assassination style using bombs.
thats what i was hoping to get started. im looking forward to an eagle strike blade bomb or a falcon punch bomb.
falcon punch bomb didnt work out like a thought it would. the explosion interrupts the kill animation and ezio is blown back.
This is very nice. I had a tiny feeling in my heart and soul that someone would figure out really cool things to do with bombs, and more specifically Sticky Bombs. It's like your blade made him EXPLODE when you drove it into his neck. (R2/RB > Select Weapon > Splosion Blade)
I demand Splosion Blade in ACIII. I kid, I kid. I want ACIII to be.. awesome.
Other than that, a lot of people are doing Tarik things because he's one of like.. THREE Assassination targets in the whole GAME. I feel like AC1 had the most crazy tricks because of every target, it was possible on all of them. Every target in AC1 was completely different, in a different setting. Anyway, enough rant about how AC1 kicks ass.
I'm curious to see what people do with other uses of bombs.
The thing that I want to see most is people bouncing Fuse Bombs off a wall to get inside a closed area and kill someone that way. Like in one of the tutorial missions. That would be DAMN cool!
If you could throw a bomb at the right time, you may be able to hit some of the prestaged characters, causing a funny scene.
Thing is, Aurel, since there are so many glitches known, everybody knows the mechanics and tricks quite well. This means that it's relatively easier to find cool things to do: there are examples to draw from.
Awesome! Cool effect.
Cool effect, I also tried to throw a bomb on the target and then assassinate him, but i didn't choose the right timing.

You tried that too? Man everyone seems to be trying some of the same ideas in this game . Although preset bombs disappear for a cutscene maybe prethrowing a bomb might have some use. Hmmmm...
