This break could last a long time depending on how long it takes for me to get proper internet at my new flat (wherever that may be)

However even if I get internet in the future, I will only have this laptop that cannot record sound for some awesome reason. I cbf selling it just so I can record sound, so chances are no more videos either from me. Hope you enjoyed my multiplayer videos I think they were the highlight of my AC vids, expect more written guides and articles from me though in the future

Damn. Well, with you goes a lot of hope for a real competitive AC: B pro community. All the OG's like myself loved ya, Jack. You put out great vids and laid out a lot of gameplay aspects and showed a lot of good fundamentals in them. I know they've helped me step up my game quite a bit since I started, mainly by helping solidify the foundation on which I play the game.

Your contribution to the community was tremendous, and I'm sad to see it go. Was fun while it lasted though, right?

Your multiplayer videos were awesome Jack! seriously, when I start playing multiplayer properly I'll definitely be using them to help.

Remember who it was who gave you the Multiplayer Beta code...? Wink

No im not leaving, but the place im living at has no internet at the moment, im at work right now ( 30 minute break at the holiday coaching program).

And yeah il never forget hat you gave me that code, it gave me a huge headstart on the community so I was never ever a noob at this game, always at the top of the pack which is something I have never experienced in an online game.

However, in 2 weeks I will get my capture card back but not my PC, meaning I can still record but with no sound, this laptop wont allow it. Would people still watch mutliplayer videos with no sound, maybe with music instead? My fanbase is getting bigger and I don't want to leave them hanging

Some sounds cues are important in multiplayer, but I don't think it will really make a difference.
As to music, there will be no problem as long as you don't put some Avenged Sevenfold or "metal" band.

Seriously, if I could have given the code to anyone it would have been to someone who would make a ton of videos that show exactly how the Multiplayer is meant to be played. That's exactly what you've done so good choice I think Wink

Hope to see you back, owning more noobs (like me) at some point.

@Patrick

wait, the ps3 mulitplayer beta back in october, u needed a code to play? I thought it was for every1

Yeah it was a closed Beta available only to those who preordered (and some Playstation Plus members too I think). It was also only available on PS3.

Basically, retailers sent out codes to customers a day or two before (or in Play.com's case, several days after the beta began Stare ) That code could then be entered onto the PSN website to generate another code which could then be entered into PSN on your PS3 which would allow the beta to be downloaded.

Complicated I know. But yeah, it was a closed Beta Smile

I basically got fed up of waiting for the code from Play.com (and thought they had ran out) so I got one from somewhere else the day before the Beta. A day or two later, Play.com sent their codes out so I just gave it to Jack Tongue

Well that was a brilliant move giving ur extra code to jack. He's done so much with it!

And yes im a 360 player and i wanted to punch a baby when i heard the beta was ps3 only. (jk...mostly)

Haha. I don't blame you. From what i've heard, Assassin's Creed plays better on 360 anyway so we need some consolation Laughing out loud

Well i can't agree or argue against that. I've never played PSN. I might be getting a Ps3 soon and ditching the xbox for a few different reasons other than xbl costing. But over here at xbox-land, things are pretty well. Matchmaking is near flawless now. Although i have noticed in waiting lobbies, if theres 1 person who hasnt had a persona selected yet, it holds up the game. Literally the game will never start until that person leaves. I assume its caused from the host's connection refusing that persons. Cuz thats what happened when me and my friend tried to play a game of manhunt. The match wouldn't start so he backed out, and it started instantly. It's happened a few times actaully

Hey instead of recording with no sound andjust adding audio, maybe I could do my own voice over commentary instead. Anyone know any equipment you can use for that, or all you need is simply an inbuilt mic on a laptop?

A few of my videos have narration. What I did was to first shoot and edit the video. Then I would record the audio with a pedestal microphone and Windows Sound Recorder. This produces a WAV file that you can drop into your editing program.

That may work. One time I tried to use an inexpensive mic and my peer reviewers said there was too much hiss and airflow noise.

You won't even feel the blade.

Agree with stab on laptop mic^

Laptop's mic are nice, but you can usually hear the laptop's engine running, and the air flow as he stated. An external mic is much better "I use a guitar hero mic lmfao"

I will most likely use the in built one until I settle in to my new place properly, hell i dont even know if I will be able to play single player as I have no TV at the moment either, I doubt the other folks at the hostel would be too happy with me sitting in the lounge making ACB vids every 3rd day. I could always play with it hooked up to my laptop while recording, however il be playing with no sound unless i by headphones, do those work to capture all sound in game? This way I could actually play PS3 without a TV

Its not the capture card thats the problem, it works fine on my PC. But on my laptop that I will be keeping I cant record sound for some reason

Anyway I cant hear sound like you while im recording, which is why I might buy headphones. Do you know if you can hear all the games sound without the use of a TV just by using gaming headphones?

Alright apparently I can get Woosh wirless for a cheap price at this hostel, without the need of a landline or telephone jack or modem, this guy said you put this thing on your window and it picks it up. Im wondering of the PS3 will be able to play online though...

Anyway I will have to do some research on a new laptop that can record sound because I have a sick escape route on AC1 that I want to record that deservers sound

Hey Jack, I'm an IT tech (when I'm not gaming Wink ). If you want help attempting to diagnose your laptop's inability to record sound, we could compare notes some time. PM me if you're interested.

Jack, you are a total bad-ass.
I'd watch your multi-videos without sound.
