I actually think this movie has promise. It's finally moving from the '70s film that started it all. Plus, Christopher Nolan is overseeing it all and even helped write it along with his brother. He wasn't a direct writer, but he helped come up with the story.
Who knows? This could kick off an entire film series!
I've never been that into superheroes (probably just a bit young and missed the whole comic book era, although I know they're still popular today) and have always seen Superman as very camp. Hopefully this reboot will make him a bit more badass. I think Batman Begins and The Dark Knight have helped to do the same with Batman so I'm hopeful.
haaah superman man of steel where to begin,for who doesn't know i'm a big superman fan so when i heared a bout this movie i died a bit serious wtf is wrong with the outfit serious and btw what was wrong with brandon routh i wanted to see him again with the red cape now they are going to rape superman (southpark episode but instead of indiana jones it's superman) and now everybody is going to forget the good superman movies and just think about these sorry but when i see the suit i cry 
when my dad saw superman returns in the theaters he thought brandon routh sucked playing as superman
30 years of the same theme and style on a single character, with the last one only having maybe 3 exciting scenes in a superhero movie kind of got stretched a little too much. I'm very happy they're finally moving on to a more badass, new age Superman storyline. The suit looks amazing. I like a big S shield on the entire chest rather than a tiny triangle that's hardly noticeable. Also, his neckline is actually below the neck where it should be. Returns practically made him look like he was wearing an average long sleeve shirt.
I can't wait to see how Man of Steel turns out. Hopefully they'll have Bizarro and/or Braniac in a sequel.

Not when he's actually Superman. He will for a small portion of the film.

From what I've gathered from spy pics, he's only in hobo-looking clothing. It wouldn't look proper if he was in the Superman outfit with a beard. They've shown him beard-less in the actual costume, so I win.
