STABBY CHAT! STABBY CHAT! STABBY CHAT! STABBY CHAT! BYO
Do you guys want to do a stabby chat this Friday, December 12? I'm not available at the usual time but could squeeze in an hour for a European edition at 12 noon Pacific Standard Time. That's 3pm (EST) in New York and 8pm (GMT) in London.
Reminder: stabby chat starts in 10 hours. I may be a little late but I will be sure to stop by for a while.
I'll be at work then, but thanks for sacrificing an hour of your time for the greater good.
I missed this because I was with a friend all day. I think I missed an invite to a Unity game by one of you guys, too. I was distracted, I'm sorry!
It was ME!
For those that were there, my wife is fine. She's allergic to something environmental at her work and has been getting hives every day at 10am.
Also, I'll be up for some co-op any time Sunday. Send me an email (personal or through THB) a little bit in advance if you want to set something up. Email alert will go to my phone and we can play. However, will the multiplayer story give anything away for the main story? Should I finish the main story first? I've only just entered sequence 4, so most of my skills aren't available yet... so I'll be worse than expected.
For our ninja turtle ideas, I only play with long weapons, a la Donatello. I have not unlocked any multiplayer skills yet, so I won't be any help there.

What multiplayer story?
What multiplayer story?

Didn't some French politician make a big deal out of this a while ago, calling it right-wing propaganda?
Still a better good vs evil story than Brotherhood.

Yeah, he did! "the game feeds on the same anti-republican sentiment that fuels the far-right extremists of today"

Very true.
Father. Do you not see? I control all of this. If I want to live, I live. If I want to take, I take. If I want you to die, YOU DIIIIEEE!! *strangles sister*

Cesare could have been a great villain if they showed some other side of him, that wasn't him murdering everyone or stroking his mustache and laughing maniacally. They made him into a cartoon character. Ubisoft knows how to make oustanding villains though (Vaas, Pagan Min).
Basically, do the multiplayer missions all take place AFTER the main campaign thus showing you who's in control/alive etc, or give away any plot points?
I missed this because I was with a (girl)friend all day. I was distracted, I'm sorry!
You're getting too predictable, Joey. Glad to say not even work stopped me from chatting. Just made a mad dash to the library until my lunch break was nearly over.

She's not my girlfriend, but I won't confirm nor deny the other part.

*cough cough*
man, i must be coming down with something
Guess what? I got a fever! And the only prescription.. is more cowbell a Stabby Chat!
Wow, you're really anxious for a stabby chat! I'm booked up for the next two weeks but will have some time off from November 21 to November 29. Do you guys want to try for a chat that week? Note that November 26 is Thanksgiving in the U.S. (and also happens to be my birthday).
It's been like a year since the last one!
My parents are in town Nov 26-Sunday, so unfortunately that doesn't work for me.
Let's try to get a good guest in here. no way @PatriceDez would want to make an appearance for his most loyal fanbase, so maybe aim a little differently.
November 25?
I would like to make a Stabby chat sometime. Its been too many years and I miss just BSing with y'all!
i'm up for it practically any day. as long as i get some warning before
Let's do it this Saturday, November 21, at 12 noon Pacific Standard Time. That's 3pm (EST) in New York and 8pm (GMT) in London. I plan to be there for 2 hours so feel free to join late if necessary.
Wife won't be happy I'm spending our anniversary at a stabby chat, but I'll be there.
Reminder: stabby chat tomorrow at this time. Check the timestamp of this post for your local time zone.
I won't be available for a little over three hours after chat starts, if anyone wants to stay that late.
Fuck and now I'll be out with friends. :/ Why couldn't they just be available friday?!
remember, kids: Don't get caught with your pants down.

Thanks, Parachat elephant!
For those that were interested in, or shaking their heads at, my plywood/wallpaper project, here you go...
Step 1: Buy plywood, cut to size
Step 2: Sand the edges and corners down so they aren't sharp with 220# sandpaper
Step 3: Spraypaint with metallic paint (in this case a bronze) around the edge to make the faux frame
Step 4: put wallpaper down with Mod Podge
Steps 4.2-4.3: take paper back up, then put it back down until you're sick of trying to get the bubbles out (the small ones come out as it dries anyway)
Step 5: Mod Podge over the top of it all to seal it, using healthy amounts, at least 2 coats
Step 6: spray a clear sealer over the back and edges of the plywood (you don't want raw plywood exposed
Step 7: mount with a french cleat system, somehow getting lucky to hit two studs without trying - this sucker isn't coming down
Step 8: post on THB for all the glory
Daaaaamn, that looks good!
Looks pretty good to me!
Who's up for a THB chat this weekend sometime to talk about our thoughts and comments on the Origins reveals?
Hopes, desires, disappointments, anything else...
I think I might be able to make it this weekend. I haven't been able to discuss Origins at length yet. Anyone else?
This weekend sounds fine to me.
Somebody please propose a date and time! I'm available Sunday but not Saturday. It's okay if I sit this one out.
I'm busy 11am-4pm Pacific Time on Sunday. Will translate that time later when I'm not on my phone.
I think I should be free basically any time on Saturday and Sunday, so I'm good with anything.
Guess I'll try and remind people of this thread.
Going by Cheese's time frame (and using it as a base for reference), that gives any UK users until 10:00 pm (22:00) before we can start chatting. Anyone more eastern of that will probably be asleep by then and anyone west (like Hawaii) should be around mid day.
Is that accurate? I just went by a random Google time zone converter.
That's going by his Sunday schedule, though.
it's 8 hours, so it would be later
unless european people want to chime in, we can plan for:
Sunday, June 25
Honolulu 11AM
San Diego 2PM
Indianapolis 5PM
Toronto 5PM
London 10PM
Stockholm 11PM
Paris 11PM
Cairo 11PM
I'll be late as I have a picnic to attend from 11:30-4, but I'll leave near 2. That will give all you scrubs time to discuss and solve any hieroglyphics that Gerund and I don't get to tomorrow.
That time sounds good, Cheese. I tried to get on chat yesterday with a connection problem. Hopefully it was just bad internet.
Chat is happening right now for anyone interested in joining!
Chat going on now, DAZ.
Thanks to the 4 others that showed up. It was fun even if we didn't talk much about Origins. haha
It was a neat Friday the 13th chat.
hey! we talked Marvel movies too...
Re: Hawaiian trends in mainland conversation from last Stabby Chat
See, they can't even spell poke correctly the trend is moving so fast... (or all the names with poke are already taken so they've moved to poki out of necessity).
This one was spotted in a mall food court in San Jose.
They can't even spell poke correctly
Both of the above signs are spelled incorrectly. I think it's an attempt to elicit a two syllable pronunciation: po-kee or po-kay.
Cheese, I believe you recommended Silicon Valley at the last stabby chat. Since then I've watched the first season and a half. It's pretty good, although Erlich often makes me cringe. The season 1 finale (TechCrunch Disrupt final stage) was the best episode so far. There was no fart joke. That must be a different season.
If you like Silicon Valley there's a new British comedy called Loaded with a similar theme. Four friends develop a mobile game called "Cat Factory". The story picks up right after they sell their company for £246 million and have no idea how to manage their new wealth or what game to design for an encore.

Did I say fart joke? Could have sworn I said dick joke. And you must admit that the finale had a whopper of a dick joke.
