Just. Joking. Guys. Forgot you left town, Phi; I've missed chat a few times myself. But don't worry, something tells me there might be a chat next month.
I'M STILL SCARED HOW YOU KNEW I WAS WITH A GIRL. I CAN'T FIND A RECENT POST OF MINE WHERE I SAID THAT. CAPS LOCK IS STUCK CURRENTLY.
If caps lock is stuck how did you put the periods at the end of the sentences?
Because it ain't the Shift key, silly.
I just understood something, that I haven't fully understood before. Are all the people here adults?

Define "adults".

You know, like 18+, 21+, because I see people with wives (I hope this is how you write it) and stuff, which is far from age, so I was curious.
Are all the people here adults?
The minimum age to join the site is 13. One time I calculated the median age of all registered users (who had entered their year of birth) and it was low, around 19 if I recall correctly. Among the regular posters there are a few who are still in high school.
i must be skewing those results... 27 here.
Then maybe I'm the youngest here. I'm 15 years old. And why is there minimum age to join the site?
And why is there minimum age to join the site?
The games are meant for mature players, so a minimum age is probably a smart thing to input into the site. I'd be scared to see 10 year olds coming on here talking about how they like going on killing sprees in Havana shooting dogs.
You're right. I know that me neither can play these games, but at least I'm not a 10 year old or a 12 year old. I think that my age is ok for these games.

I like going on killing sprees in Havana shooting dogs, and I'm a grown ass man.
Yeah, I'm an ass man too, cheese.
In assassin's Creed III I liked to hang people on the main streets, every time I was bored you could expect 3 bodies hanging from above

I guess it depends. Some people mature faster than others and have a better understanding of real life vs fiction. If I'm not mistaken people under 13 can join with their parents permission.
The minimum age is 13 due to The Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998. We're not allowed to collect personal information from minors and this site requires an email address to sign up. It has nothing to do with Assassin's Creed being violent. Facebook, Gmail and Yahoo! also have an age requirement of 13.
If I'm not mistaken people under 13 can join with their parents permission.
Not on this site. While the law does allow exceptions with parents' permission, we don't have the resources to verify guardianship, keep signatures on file, etc.
The "you have to be 13 years old" law is stupid, because anyone can just say that they're 17 or 20 or something and sign up easily.
I'm not going to name names but one time I recruited someone to join the site because he always had good comments on YouTube. It turned out that he was 10 years old. I reluctantly blocked his account and explained to him why. On his 13th birthday I unblocked it and invited him back. He made a few comments but I think he's not into AC anymore. He must have outgrown it.
Okay, you're all forgiven!
McStab, I hope Mrs McStab is doing much much better now.
Joey, I'm pretty sure that you hadn't said anything about a new GF; Aurel was just playing the odds.
And congratulations, Phi!
Gotta love how this topic has gone off topic.

I think I remember now. You were talking about how much of a hassle it was (in chat I think?).
Joey, I'm pretty sure that you hadn't said anything about a new GF; Aurel was just playing the odds.
So true. Like that one time in chat when Joey said he was distracted, and by reflex I said, "Women provide much distraction." Turns out I was right. Or maybe...
You are under my power. You will obey my commands. You will tell me everything and then forget.
Aurel, you stop that right now. No man needs that kind of power. *tries to basketball swat Apple of Eden out of your hands*
Joey, congratulations on the cuteness. Y'feel nice? :3 Y'feel nice. :3

Am I that predictable? I wonder if that's a good or bad reputation to have...
better to be predictable "with a girlfriend" than predictable "joey's probably drowning his sorrows in a bottle of scotch in a dark basement again"
better to be predictable "with a girlfriend" than predictable "joey's probably drowning his sorrows in a bottle of scotch in a dark basement again"
Not much difference with me...

But co-op sorrow-drowning is the best kind ;]
We need another one of these.
We need another one of these.
Agreed. I was stoked when I saw this thread bumped... but it was JoeyFogey.
Also, how about a member of the month? (err.. season... year?) there have been a few new guys in recent months...
I was stoked when I saw this thread bumped... but it was JoeyFogey.
You lovely dick.
At the very least we'll need a chat sometime around when Unity comes out. If enough people are interested we should have a regular chat time once every month. And to keep other people around the world from being left out, half of those chats will be at a different time.
So lets say every odd month we have a chat the first Friday when it's 9:00 PM in New York and every even month when it's 9:00 PM somewhere in Europe. Does anyone like the sound of this?
Yeah definitely. Our webchat is slow as hell though.
I wouldn't be able to make it this Friday. Probably next Friday would work for me. That would be three days after Unity so we'd have to avoid spoilers.
If you guys want to schedule a chat without me, that's fine too. Go ahead and use this thread.

FTFY
I'd be up for a chat sometime, would be nice to discuss AC with fellow enthusiasts.
I'll be happy to find you guys in my chat when I'm broadcasting it would be a way to gather THB members at some evenings in Europe (around 18:00-22:00 Paris time). What do you think?
link: www.twitch.tv/fed981
Well I'm there most evenings, so I'd be up for it.
following now
maybe people with twitch should also put their twitch link in their signatures here, along with PSN/XBL name...
We could chat on both the THB chat room and Twitch. It's like the chat during the 2012 E3 demos. A few of us were in chat and watching the live streaming. I remember Joey was there, and I think Calvar and a few others. So I guess next chat is going to be Friday November 14. We'll just have to figure out a good time. I'll be available shortly after 8:00 PM EST (8:00 PM in New York) to 12:00 PM EST. Would that work well with your schedule, Fed? And I'm sorry, but I don't quite understand military time. Is 18:00-22:00 6:00 PM-10:00 PM or 6:00 AM-10:00 AM?
It's not military, it's like we say in France. So 18:00 - 22:00 is 6 PM - 10 PM. But unfortunately I will not be up for Friday this week, and Fridays in general...

Okay. stabby chat here, Friday November 14, at 9pm in New York (EST), 6pm in Los Angeles (PST).

NOOOOO!
I'll be going to a comedy show that night... I'll try to get on a bit before I go. Not sure when the show actually starts yet.
Heads up: If you go to THB chat and it says that you need to upgrade your Java plug-in or something, that's an advertisement. It looks shady to me. I don't recommend clicking on ads that pretend to be system messages.
These ads above the chat window come with the free version of our chat service. They are not administered by THB and we receive no compensation for clicks. I can't justify upgrading to an ad-free version with how little we use the chat feature.
I wish there was a THB chat app so we could be away from our computers but still participate. In my cases, I'm almost always out, but able to look at my phone constantly. As long as I remember, I should be able to be there.
I'm not saying to make an app, Stab, as I'm sure that's a lot of extra bullsh*t you don't want to deal with.
Joey. There is. I've done it.
It's in browser but it's a mobile web page.
Go to the THB page and try to sign into the chat, it will direct you.

I didn't know how reliable that was. I've tried it with a previous phone browser a few times and I couldn't do much with it. It either wouldn't load the chat or something else stupid.

So just as reliable as the desktop version.
Can we switch to a more trustworthy chat service like Snoonet? On the /r/bodyweightfitness subreddit we use this, and it has a solid webchat (no java or plugins required) and is much easier to use. It's also easy to connect to, and if there are issues, the #help channel is very active.
Reminder: Stabby chat today at 9:00 Pm EST New York. If in doubt refer to the world clock.

I'll try to make it... means I'll have to take a night off of Rogue though...
