Remember the ubiworkshop.com website? The one with the Chinese and Egyptian Assassins? It seems they're making a comic book series, as well.

And, if you watch the teaser trailer, it seems that the comic book's about the Tunguska explosion -

I like the Art Deco Assassin symbol.
Awesome I was wondering when the release was going to be today. I've been keeping a close eye on the UbiWorkshop twitter, as well as the twitter accounts for the two artists.
in soviet russia, comic read you.
the trailer was cool, but i don't think i'll bother with getting the comic
The trailer was cool, hopefully they would release the complete series (depending on how many issues it might be) as a trade paperback though, I prefer having my comics collated in one easy to read place.
Interesting thought raised by this video that deserves its own topic though, I won't sidetrack this thread.
I don't know if anyone else found the new info, its been out awhile, but I only discovered them today:

I love how much reference and detail they are putting into it, and I love that it is going to be part of the canon, much like how Mass Effect: Redemption ended up canon with the release of lair of the shadow broker, there's even hints that if it's successful, it may even be made into its own game.
"This will never be abandoned; this story is as much a part of Assassin's Creed as any of the games," explained Cuny. As further parts of the mythos are explored, the comic will "absolutely not be ignored," and acknowledged in future endeavors. Asked if this character could show up in a game of his own, or even as a downloadable character in multiplayer for their next game, Brotherhood, Cuny just smiled and said, "we're certainly thinking about and exploring everything."
As a comic geek, I love DCs Batman and Robin revamped comic, so when it says they have one of the people who worked on that working on this comic, it should be top notch.
From the IGN article:
" "Without saying too much, the Daniel character plays a very significant role in the two existing games, where they are currently," teased Stewart. "This is almost like a lead-in to those, so he has a very significant role."
Although Stewart and Kerschl were tight-lipped on how Daniel factors into the previous "Assassin's Creed" video games, they said that their idea caused Ubisoft to reconsider the franchise's ongoing story in a way they hadn't previously contemplated. The idea will have an impact on the perception of how the "Assassin's Creed" universe works, albeit "in a way that feels natural and not reverse-engineered," said Stewart. "
This made me curious, how does he tie into AC1 and AC2?
I'm totally getting this.
Daniel Cross = Subject 16, betting on it.
Daniel Cross = Subject 16, betting on it.
Makes sense, although there are 15 other subjects to choose from too.
Yeah, but it said he was involved in AC1 and 2 as well, sub 16 is, the others aren't.
Daniel Cross = Subject 16, betting on it.
In the French Graphic Novel (non-canon) Subject 16's first name was Michael.
