Maybe this should be in the Other Gaming forum.

For which system are you looking for games similar to AC? Are you looking for similar gameplay or just similar plot/story?

I don't really see much of a comparison between AC and The Saboteur. How much do you want our suggestions to blur the lines of similarity?

The more info you can give us, the better we can help you. Smile

Personally, I thought Saboteur was pretty similar to AC, at least gameplay wise.

The only other game I could think of is possibly Mirrors Edge but really its only the free running which is similar.

Mirrors Edge is a fantastic game. Also I think the 2008(9?) POP has the same controls.

OK. By similar I mean that it's free-roam and it has a lot of climbing.
In that respect, the Saboteur is basically Assassin's Creed in WW2.. with an ass-kicking Irishman. Awesome.
The system I want this type of game for is the PS3.
Thanks.

I've beaten both Prince of Persia and Mirror's Edge (because they're similar climbing-wise and I got to them lol).

inFamous and Batman: Arkham Asylum fit your bill perfectly, and they were two of last year's best games.

You could probably throw [Prototype] in there as well, except that Ezio can't leap over the entire city (he's still more of a badass, though).

On the AC2 review at gamesradar someone made a funny pic of the formula of AC2, I could post it but unfortunately I don't know how to upload a photo like back on AC maps. Help me out stab?

I also beat Arkham Asylum recently.
And I bought inFAMOUS.
And of course, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood.

Awaiting the next installment, and uh.. hmm.

Arkham Asylum - amazing game. I really need to replay it soon. Maybe once I've completed AC:B I will. And I really like the demo of inFAMOUS but haven't played the actual game. Is it any good? I may get it in January with any Christmas money Laughing out loud

inFAMOUS is pretty good. And on Hard mode, it provides just the right amount of challenge. However, as annoying as Assassin's Creed Feathers and Flags are, inFAMOUS's Blast Shards ARE EVEN WORSE. There's SO MANY of them.

inFAMOUS is basically like AC, except with electric powers and a post-apocalyptic world of sorts.
The climbing is faster, and you don't take any fall damage. If you fall from the tallest point in the game, you just roll and survive. That's due in part to you having superhuman powers from an object called the Ray Sphere (which plays an important role later in the story).

I like it a lot. I like [Prototype] less than inFAMOUS, but it's still a cool game. Definitely pick it up, I got it at a Blockbuster for 40 bucks I think, got it quite a while after it came out.

EDIT: The bosses also remind me a bit more of bosses from The Golden Age of Gaming. You know, where you sort of have to figure out how to kill them, that's part 1. And then part 2 is actually DOING what needs to be done to kill them. And there is an epic confrontation with the final boss, who reveals something surprising about himself once you defeat him. When I say epic, I don't just mean, like cool cutscenes and awesome music. I mean epic, like you actually PLAY through the epic part, and on Hard it's QUITE tough.

Succumb to the Dark Side. You know you want to speedrun the game without getting any viewpoints, side missions, or doing ANYTHING at all other than running to the ! objectives. Yeeesss... YEEESSSSSS....

Yep, I hated that. That's why I made this map (GameFAQs link). I'm Sevael on GameFAQs (though I don't post much).

Without your map, I wouldn't have been able to get Platinum. Thank you so much.

I've heard about those infamous blast shards. See what I did there? Wink but yeah, as I said I loved the demo and I agree that the climbing is better as I like the speed of it. I will complete AC:B and B:AA and then get inFAMOUS, although by then ACIII and Arkham City will probably both be out Tongue

How is inFamous 2 ? It feels like the first one didn't answer all the questions, was it intentional because the second does that or are they left unanswered in the sequel ?
I'm not sure whether to buy it or not, since on the one hand I really enjoyed the first one and want to know what happens next, but on the other hand I don't have much space left on my hard drive, and want to save it for ACIII.

InFamous 2 is even better than 1. Way way way better. Graphics, story, side missions, Cole McGrath voice actor, atmosphere - especially

Spoiler: Highlight to view
no Trish.

Seriously better. Fantastic game.

This spoiler is good news, I was more annoyed at Zeke though.
I wanted to avoid uninstalling another game to make way for a new one, but it seems really worth it
