With all the talk about Watch_Dogs being a "spiritual successor to Assassin's Creed" and the potential for videos, gameplay and plot topics, does it merit a separate forum here?

BTW, anyone can create a poll now. I'll post more details on the Polls topic.

It came as a great surprise that Stabguy is the one asking this question. My answer is neither yes or no but rather depending on how good it is for discussions, FAQ, videos, strategy guides, etc. We'll just have to wait and see if it merits a separate forum.

Take for example the AC games. The first few ones got a forum quite soon on here, while the later ones saw a delay depending mostly on how many videos and stuff came out. The non console AC games (Bloodline for PSP and Chronicles of Altair on DS) don't even have their own forum, and it's obvious why.

Then again, if it already seems Watch_Dogs has the potential then we should go for it. It can really help the site get back on its feet since the AC series has been on life support for the past few years.

Wait and see for me. If WATCH_DOGS is going to be a mega hit and spawn of a dozen or so sequels that aren't shallow derivatives of its predecessors with little to no innovation to the story/game-play, then sure.

I'd love for Watch_Dogs to have its own forum already, because I'm going to have a lot to say about it. Its design closely expands on Assassin's Creed's, and I think that Assassin's Creed and Watch_Dogs will be two very important siblings for each other's design development over the next few years.

I feel like THB can become more than just AC-central. We can expand to other games and use our skills to make new ways to play every genre, not just Assassin's Creed.

For now though, Joey, only Watch_Dogs seems grounded in Assassin's Creed's concepts and ideas enough to warrant that.

We should very much still hold our status of "AC-central" as a kind of pride, because that's what we are. That's what we've always been. That's what we do, and we're the best at doing it.

If games similar enough to Assassin's Creed (and I mean, very similar - Watch_Dogs is VERY similar, a friend of mine played a VIP demo of it last night, similar to the time I tried out Black Flag and he said as much) come out though, we should definitely include them.
