Assassins Creed Unity sequence 8 memory 2 September Massacres
Rouille Assassination
With there being only three official unique kills in the game, I sought out to create my own. In the sequence 8 assassination there is an optional cutscene from the distraction opportunity. What's helpful is you regain control of Arno shorty after it starts, allowing you to kill enemies offscreen.
Unique Scene Kill
So here's how you do it. Kill every guard in the area, but leave the target alive. Lead him to the tower and cause him to stand in the right spot. After starting the scene, use the minimap to move in the right direction for the kill.
Sounds simple, right? Well no actually. I had trouble from the very start. At first it seemed I couldn't target Rouille for an air kill, and I got detected as well. Then I thought I could incapacitate him and prone assassinate, but the option doesn't appear until after the scene ended. So my third idea was take out nearly all his health and hopefully defeat him quickly in combat, which might lead to an assassination.
Well, that's what I tried and it worked, although the game says it was an air assassination. What you see in the video is my first successful Rouille scene kill. Just too bad I couldn't get the kill a little earlier in the scene.
Im glad to see players still find enjoyment in unique kills. Thats what made AC1 great. Even if rare, it provides some opportunity alot of Ezio games stripped away. Im glad you found enjoyment in it cooljay!
A unique kill in Unity refers to special situation assassinations in the game, of which there are only three. This scene kill is self-made rather than an official unique kill. But thanks for liking on it.
Is there an "official" kill?
You know the assassination in Notre Dame Cathedral where you have the option to hide in the confessional booth? Aurel is referring to that as an "official unique kill". You're free to do the assassination however you like, or you can choose the confessional for a special cutscene. It was one of the selling points of Unity. I think Ubisoft referred to it as a "black box" assassination.
We were disappointed to find that only three of the prime targets had this feature (Rouille is not one of them). Since then, Aurel has been trying to create his own "unofficial unique" kill scenes by triggering other video sequences at the moment of assassination.
No, the only ones are for
But all the same it's amusing to think Rouille also catches fire along with the guards. If only the assassination took place during that cinematic part.
Speaking of "unofficial unique kills"...
keyblade death.
Oic now! Doing assassinations to trigger a cut scene. Im not sure I ever did any "right" then...lol. Maybe this will be the first AC I will replay memory blocks since Ubi all but made playing from new impossible. I still cant understand their reason for this. Like many complaints I see online, it makes replay-ability low. Ive never been one to beat to death a mission until I achieve perfection.
