It would be nice to have some assassination mission video guides. The first assassination claims to have ten separate entrances to the inside of Notre Dame as well as a secret entrance.
Concerning those entrances, the secret one might be one of the ten entrances instead of an additional entrance. I'm sure the underground passage is it since you cannot interact with the button outside the mission. Then we have the front door, two open windows, three locked windows and two locked doors (although they are so close together it should count as only one).
That leaves one entrance unaccounted for. I'd like to see a detailed video on all the entrances and a good path to the target from each. Now if we just had someone with experience on beginner's guides to assassinations and a good narrating voice.

Check and... not check. I have a voice for silent movies.
Okay, I'll put "Stylish Assassination Guide for Sivert" on my to-do list. I just took on another consulting gig so I won't have much time for gaming the rest of this month. It's better to have too much paying work than not enough. I can't complain.
I ENJOY narrating a LOT and I've been told I have a decent voice for it - but I doubt I'd be able to do the Beginner's Guide to Assassinations thing.
Clearly I won't finish playing Unity or Rogue any time soon. It's time to create menus on the left (<-- over there).
Can I get volunteers to enumerate the targets, locations and collectibles for Unity and Rogue? Please take care to spell the targets' names correctly with accent marks, etc. For locations, be more specific than "Paris".
If you'd like to volunteer, please reply with which part(s) you're working on (e.g. "Rogue targets") so there's no duplication of effort. Thank you.
About time! I can get the names of all the Unity targets. Also, do you need help in listing possible assassination styles?

Thanks Aurel. Yes, a list of styles would useful.
Any volunteers for Rogue?
Where's McStab when you need him!
Where's McStab when you need him!
fine... i'll look into it...
All the styles can basically be the same from AC4 though... as it's mostly the same game...
Rogue Targets
I'll double check this list over the weekend by actually going through the game progress tracker.
I'll also look at the other mission archetypes... maybe people want sections for forts, gang HQs and outposts? I can list all the locations in these sections if you want.
Hey btw AC Victory is supposedly the next big AC game... dunno if you guys have heard. Set in London Victorian era.

I'll just leave this here for Jack. http://thehiddenblade.com/assassins-creed-victory
Unity targets (looked up the targets' full names using the database entries):

Sequence 8

Now to discuss assassination styles. First the ones that work in Unity.
Stealth (duh)
Air Assassination
Stunt
Eagle Strike
Pacifist
Blitz
Early Death
Now for discussing new styles/bringing back old ones.
Controlled Descent - Not sure about this one since it would usually accompany air assassinations or some other assassination style, making it unworthy of it's own category.
Pummeling - If it seems interesting enough to get close enough to the target to bash them to death. Based off punching bag.
Long shot - The guillotine gun has throwing range, allowing for kills from farther away than regular guns. Shooting from above accomplishes even greater shooting range (from the top of Notre Dame's towers it looks like you can kill an enemy on the ground from over 70 meters away).
Tripwire - Now that tools and one weapon have a line trajectory, may be fun to setup a running target to run into it. Poison bombs and the guillotine gun are the only lethal trajectory items.
TINS - One case so far of a surface disappearing, but was a disappointment that drowning didn't start the memory scene. Not much reason to bring this style back for now.
Mysterious Death - Poison in Unity is inconveniently unstealthy. Poison bombs attract enemies and berserk darts draw attention to the warmongering character. A pacifist ghost run would work so much better for an unexplained death.
Speedrun - Normally we use the blitz category, but some things occurred to me. Blitzes are primarily for killing targets in missions, and the setup for some of them would waste time in a speedrun. And with speedruns popular as they are, I think it would be good to make a non-assassination category for speedruns.

Employee of the Month?
Employee of the Month is more of a fun kill. Better to have a category labeled "poison", applying to both the poison bombs and darts.
I made a mistake in the categories list. Pacifist was never a labeled style in any of the games.
In the sequence 5, memory assassination, you have the option of clearing a few bodyguards of the target before the assassination actually starts.
After doing this, could the run still be considered a ghost run? I'm thinking it wouldn't exactly count.
Since the point of a ghost run is to kill only when necessary, that wouldn't be valid. However pre-assassinating guards is still a good stealth strategy.

Done. Man, that's always a lot of work. I should hire an assistant.
The front-paged Unity videos are now tagged. We don't have any Rogue videos yet. I'm looking in your direction, Cheese.
Information about Locations was lifted from AC Wiki. It appears as though all of the Unity targets are assassinated in Paris except for one in Saint-Denis. Does this set of locations for Rogue appear to be complete?

I haven't even picked up the PS4 to finish Unity in over a month... let alone gone back to Rogue to try to find interesting things to do.
Before I wouldn't have wanted to play Rogue as it seemed like a copycat of Black Flags with a play-as-Templar angle. When I first got Unity it seemed almost pointless to play any of the others for a while. However each game has it's own features that make it unique and Rogue looks decent enough to play now if I ever get my hands on it.

You must be really wealthy if you're hiring a rich suit to organize things here. If it's an offer for volunteers, just need to know where to sign up.
I've mentioned possible Early Deaths in Sequence 1 Memory 3 High Society, and now I'm telling you it's possible for probably four out of five targets. The only problem is, it's so long and frustrating that I just give up for a long while. So this is a good time to ask for help to make things go faster. If anyone is interested, let me know and I'll message the details. I could use up to four people.

I have a year of PS Plus now. I can help.
Normally I don't spoil videos before release, but in this case, to heck with it. I'd like it to come out this year.

It takes around 20 minutes to move a character to the destination, and you only have a brief moment to shoot. It took several tries just to get one target, so you can imagine how frustrating it will be for all of them.
This is a great find Aurell!
Do you think it would be possible to get the 5 targets in that spot and then use that quick window of opportunity to blast them all with the Axe grenade launcher? Would save you some time recording every kil individually

oh man. it might even take out Elise too! (and Arno, but pssh)
The guillotine gun is too slow for that brief moment of opportunity, although the blunderbuss might work. Thing is it'll take a great while to move all of them there, and if you mess up it's back to square one.
Do I have any volunteers?
If the above picture was not taken in Acre, can anyone find an Optimus Prime in that city?
Found one that bears a resemblance.
I need help with an attempted eagle strike, at the end of my new video.
Like I said in the description, the game likely despawns the vigilante when he's offscreen, so if any of you can come up with ideas to keep that from happening, much appreciated.
hmm
i thought of a fun idea yesterday...
if anyone sees a camera setup in Syndicate, let me know. what i mean is at many of the places in the game world, there are photographers with a stand up camera and groups of people getting their picture taken. i've seen a few at "landmark" locations and would like to find more. so if you see one in your travels, make a note please. i don't need to know them all in the back alleys and every garden, just a healthy number near landmarks or recognizable spots... tourist shots, not everyday locations. i don't know if i'll do the video, but i might...

I think we must need some help from those men they dressed in black (sorry, I don't remember how to call them), because Jubair always start running whenever he close to the tower about 30 meters. The maximum distance limit is 60 meters, I don't think we have enough time to climb the tower without help from those people to stop him.
By the way, do you remenber my video? Maybe we can let those guys to stop him like that.
Although you don't see it, there is a group of vigilantes near the tower (you can actually see one run into place right before Altair jumps off at the end). The problem is the game seems to despawn them because they are offscreen, so I would have to be able to climb the tower while keeping the vigilantes in view or something similar.

I think the point is you can't leave too far away from the vigilantes, otherwise they will despawn (sometimes it also happend to me when I was too far away from them). Anyway, I have done something maybe you want to check it out.
In this video I just let him to reach the tower and then kill all of guards. If you want to do the stunt during he try to escape, you have to be careful and keep distance with the vigilantes.
Was trying to get Jubair while he fled (more satisfying than having to move the target around). However I'm glad you bothered checking it out. By the looks of it, the vigilante doesn't disappear at the end point of the eagle strike, so there is hope, if I ever bother trying again.
Interesting find. Town criers meant to be a part of assassinations?
AC1 has got to be the deepest or at least most mine-able game in the entire franchise.
That Herald's platform is exactly where Ian immobilized Tamir for a Turkey Shoot:
http://thehiddenblade.com/turkey-shoot-diary-schoolboy
In the walkthrough video Ian explained that the edges of the platform are impassible for NPC's, possibly to prevent crowds from bumping into the Herald. He said there are other such places in Damascus but they are smaller and harder to find.
If there's a glitch worth exploiting, it would be the cloning glitch in Arsuf. I've wondered what's the cause so it could be recreated in cities, so here's a video to get suggestions rolling.

I have a question. Is the second controller necessary?
I've read that it's because the original AC had plans for a co-op multiplayer. By plugging in a second controller with the original unpatched game, you can get Altair to be cloned because the game thinks there might be a second player. How to get it to actually occur, I do not know.
There are other such examples on the internet as well (most in Arsuf in the same way that your video shows).
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BO6qN8pSuEs
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qNXIRhjGtEs -- NOT in Arsuf
Yes, I assumed it was from the original co-op gameplay they were going to put in. I'm sure there was still some leftover code from way back that they completely forgot about. It's really cool to see two Assassins in AC1, though.
I've seen another clone video in Masayaf, so maybe there's a consistent way. Hoping it can be done in the three main cities though. Did anyone notice that when Altair spawned after dying part of him was stretched?Just like when he teleports from a far place.
The only contributing factors I can think of are lots of characters in Arsuf and lots of checkpoints. Perhaps this overloads the game or something.
I have a question. Is the second controller necessary?
I'm pretty sure, but could check it out to make sure.
I always had this hope for this glitch, like an unrequited crush;
That the second Altair could actually be independently controllable by a second player to a reasonable extent.

So I unplugged the second controller after falling through the floor. No clone after spawning. Second controller definitely needed.
I also checked out possible cloning in Masayaf. In the clone video Damascus shows up on the minimap. Judging by the low health I guessed he was on memory block 3. So I replayed that memory block and Damascus showed up on the minimap.
I plugged in the second controller and died in certain spots, but no clone.
Is it related to falling through the map?
If you fell outside the map in Acre would you get a clone? Like, where Phi's picture is taken?

Welp, I never did this and probably won't at this point. The idea was to call a band of Rooks to the area in front of the camera then snag a screen shot as a Polaroid-type of vacation montage seeing the sites all around London.
Is it related to falling through the map?
Most of the time I killed Altair in Masayaf it was by falling through the map. I'm sure that isn't what causes it. But something interesting did happen, and I'm not sure if it had to do with the second controller being plugged in.
I was climbing that one tower where Altair releases the log trap. While there I heard strange noises for a little while. It sounded like combo/counters were being performed. On a hunch I went to the fight training area. The instructor wasn't there in his usual spot and just outside the circle on the side was a dead assassin (a civilian reacted to the dead body right when I got there).
Anyone got ledge grabbing tips for AC4? I attempted an eagle strike for the main target of Freedom Cry, but it keeps ending in failure. During practice I was able to catch the ledge, but never during the actual attempt. From my understanding you just need to hold in that direction.
Begone, Bot. Don't need Cialis. Every time an Isu transmission hits in AC game already really does it for me, I think I'm set.
