Woo hey everybody.
Okay this is kind of weird but while wandering around the world of Red Dead Redemption and shooting up the place, I discovered something interesting and somewhat disturbing and I don't think anyone else knows about it.
At Mescalero, if you place a tied-up victim in the center of the medicine wheel there and execute them with the knife at or around sun-rise, within 24 hours in the game, it will rain. It can't be done the next day or right after it rains though. I've done it several times to prove my theory and it seems to be reproducible (those several times could all just be coincidences though). I haven't looked into the particulars or details of it, but if anyone would like to see if it works for them, it would be interesting to see.
This sounds impossible (or at least really difficult) to prove, but it may have some merit. My guess is that the weather cycle is programmed to rain every other day (at least that's what I've discovered). Its strange, though, I've never been in Mexico while it's raining, even in Undead Nightmare.
There are some extremely weird easter eggs that happen with this game, but I guess its occasional unpredictability is one of the reasons as to why I love it so much.
Yeah it sounds farfetched even to me, but I've seen it go around a week ingame without it raining. This little easter egg hasn't failed me yet but I hope it not all just coincidences... It always rains before the end of the day.
BTW I actually have seen it rain in Mexico (can't remember if it was Undead or not). But anyways... I love this game too. I play my 100% file when I'm bored and I'm completely entertained for hours.
