Does it bug anyone else that you
Especially seeing as it's not hard to implement into the game. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who bought the metal cestus only to find that I will be stuck with it FOREVER. Man, it's so god damn ugly, especially in cutscenes when you hug someone or shake hands with someone. The metal cestus should have been in in a sub-category called "upgrades", or atleast have "Upgrade, can not be unequipped" in the description.
What if i'd like to strip down to just my robes and the hidden blade for role-playing purposes, or just to see how many guards I can take on without any equipment.
It's not really a big problem, but it's a little annoying
sry, you cant unequip armor. its a common gripe. and i dont think you can unequip a weapon without disarming someone. here is a related topic

why would you want to unequip armor?

Two main reasons I can think of - appearance and challenge.
Although you can't unequip armor, you can change it.
If you go into the Villa Auditore's armor room, once you've purchased a full set of armor, you can swap sets at any time. You can't go without armor, but you can go to the lowest set, leather, and just wear that.
Leather really isn't all that noticeable, it actually looks pretty natural, so that solves the appearance problem in a sense.
As for challenge that's also an easy fix. When your armor breaks, just don't get it repaired. Granted you may not like those closed, red colored blocks in your health meter, but it's a small detail in comparison to the big challenge of beating the game with almost no armor whatsoever.

The big patches of brown hurt the appearance for me. I really hate the way the leather armor looks. While realistic for the setting, it just doesn't mesh with rest of the outfit IMO.
The only part of the leather armor that I do like is the boots. They are very similar to the boots that Ezio is wearing prior to donning the Assassin robes, and are the same boots shown in most of the art for the game (including the statue that comes with the White and Master Assassin special editions of the game). So I don't mind at all that the game forces you to get the leather greaves. And fortunately, that is the only piece of armor the game ever forces you to get.
And here I thought girls were bad about how they looked!
You gotta look good to look bad haha
