Would it be a good idea to create small (weekly/biweekly) polls on this site? Of course about AC-related topics, like: "What do you think you will like the most about AC4": non-linear mission structure, open world, atmosphere of the Caribbean, interesting Templar vs. Assassin story, a new main character, the Jackdaw and naval gameplay, etc.
Yes/no questions could work as well.
What do you think?
I like it. I just wouldn't be able to say my single most favorite thing, because I like too much about this series.
I COULD say my favorite thing from each Category
So like
Story: The rumor that we'll sometimes be allied with Templars. How will it feel to have Assassins wanting to kill us and chasing US rather than we THEM? We've never felt that before in this series.
Gameplay: A more open world than any of the previous titles.
Mood: I'm actually really excited for the Modern Day (but what else is new DAZ, you're ALWAYS excited for the Modern Day)
When I first built this site, I included the ability for Editors to create polls. This feature has never been used. Polls can be front-paged. I'm not sure where they'd appear if not front-paged (there's no way to specify that a poll belongs in a forum).
Were you thinking front page, gerund, or somewhere else? I wouldn't mind publishing polls but would like some help coming up with the content.
I wasn't aware of that. I was indeed thinking about frontpage, but not too obtrusive. A bit to the side, like they do at assassinscreed.wikia.com, if that's possible. I'm sure everyone here, including myself, could help coming up with content.
Is it possible to include them as part of forum topics like in other forums? People can ask the questions they want, which may lead to further discussion about the poll?

Is this still a possibility? Or have you removed it? I can't seem to find the option.

Only site Editors (Lisa, Ian and myself) have authority to create polls. If polls were just another flavor of forum posts, I would open them up for everyone. However, they are another type of content. Not a forum post. Not a (regular front-page) story.
I'll go ahead and create Gerund's AC4 poll. After experimenting with it I will put it on the front page.
Got it.
I thought they might be a flavor of forum post, like many other forums I have visited.

Much appreciated.
I would suggest a "what is your favorite assassination style?".
Looks interesting as well XP
All registered users may now create polls in the forums. Anonymous users are allowed to vote. The easiest way to get started is to open a forum such as Assassin's Creed Unity. Right next to "New Topic" is a button called "New Poll". Click that and enter your question, choices and poll duration (if any). Another way to create a poll is with Create content in the left margin. If you do it that way, remember to select a forum from the drop down menu.
Sorry it took so long to roll this out. There was a bug with the "Add another choice" button that caused a bunch of spurious error messages to pop up. Usually there's a patch available for bugs like that but not this time. I had to track it down and fix it myself.
I also updated the Drupal core and all modules today. Let me know if something isn't working right.

woo! go stabguy!
Nice!
Glad you guys like the polls.
Ever since that programming contest last month my passion for programming has been reignited. I'm programming all day for work and then programming at night as a hobby. In between, I'm reading books about programming. The second round of that contest begins tomorrow. Unless it's a really interesting problem, I'm going to blow it off and continue with my current projects.
