Nothing special about this. It was the first plantation liberation I did outside the storyline, and managed to avoid open conflict. How these side missions work is you have to kill a certain number of overseers. If you are detected, enemies will attack and kill the slaves, which defeats the purpose of the mission.
At the very beginning I had some guards on me from outside the place after I went to a shop, but luckily it didn't mess things up. The restraints I placed on myself are using only melee kills, hiding spots, and whistle. I ran into this with no practice and thought it was worth saving. Almost got seen at 5:41 with a failed double assassination, but that was quickly improvised with two swift hidden blade kills.
What do you think of Freedom Cry? It sure looks a lot like Black Flag.
It's DLC for Black Flag, soooo. It's pretty cool, though.
Freedom Cry came with the free games for PS Plus deal, and happens to be a standalone game, albeit small enough to be one or two regular sequences. Slavery is the main topic, so much so that all the side missions are centered around it (so no contracts).
It's just as enjoyable as Black Flag, and has the same basic mechanics and stuff. I spotted two things in the game that were also added to AC Unity.
Another thing I noticed: the game won't allow you to shoot a civilian when you go in aiming mode with a ranged weapon.

Ugh lame 2/10
No, it's actually a pretty fun dlc, especially when it fleshes out a secondary character I was interested in.
