Did we ever get to learn what Petruccio's secret was from the beginning of the game?
Nope, he takes it to the grave it seems... =/
Stupid Petruccio, at least I got the achievemnt and could hear Maria speak.
Maybe Petruccio's secret was something about the Pieces of Eden, and Desmond somehow relives his memories to find out what it is in AC III. lol jk
@james89:
Yeah, hearing Maria speak was better than dumb old Petruccio and his secret anyway.
I think that the feathers may have made the cape? Maybe Maria was sewing feathers to make the cape and she had told Petruccio about it. I honestly don't know if that's even possible but I'm just speculating.
I felt really bad when he died. I kind of pitied him (even though it seems like he was somewhat annoying).
He was 12, all 12 year olds are annoying. Especially bedridden ones... ehem, anyway, I hated Borgia when he said "I just killed your brothers to make a point."
That doesn't explain the hammer, FLAE. Unless Maria knows how to make war hammers out of feathers as well...
Maria didn't make the hammer, Mario had the hammer made for Ezio.
Um, the feathers are white, and the cape is black. I doubt it.

Oh, well I've only collected about 20 hammers : What exactly happens when you cash in 50 feathers?

Black paint?

Mario comes in and says "I appreciate what your trying to do, but it's not working. You should focus your attention on more important matters. I'm sorry Ezio. I have ordered a new weapon made at the blacksmiths for you, you can pick it up whenever you like."
I meant feathers btw.
That's what happens when you put in 50 feathers? I thought it happened upon reaching 100 in addition to the cape...
No, I got 50 feathers yesterday, thats what happens.
yes, that's what happens when you get 50. it's been a while but IIRC when you get 100 Ezio gives his mother a hug and i think her lips were moving as if saying something but no sound at all.
i didn't have subs on then, does anyone know if she actually says anything?
She says "Thank you for this." and some other stuff that's very short.
I found that to be worth getting the feathers.
I thought the reward was even better. We get a cape that makes us PERMANENTLY notorious? Right before going to an environment where we need to be as stealthy as possible to avoid being killed? Gee, thanks mom!
I think the cape helps with the no hitter achievement, as you can round gathering large groups of guards.
Also anyone notice that the family crest of the Auditore family is, fittingly, an eagle? The red and yellow side of it is his mothers family I believe.
I always thought it was the Assassin logo, since that's the symbol that Mario has on the flags and in front of his house, but I guess he was just broadcasting that he was an assassin.
Personally, I think the Carnivale cape is still the coolest in the game.
