I'm sure the most irritating thing for all of us in AC2 is the singing bards who love to come up to you and tell everyone around that you're an assassin. If they can instantly recognise you, why can't guards? Do they have some super sense to detect you , or are they just poorly thought through?
Also does anyone have any amusing ways of getting rid of them?
The "annoying musicians" are easy to get rid of. Here are a few ways.
1. Unsheath a weapon.
2. Run into them.
3. Steal from them.
4. Grab them.
5. Punch/attack them.
6. Throw money at them.
The only time they were really annoying to me was when I was moving Jacobo into Tuscany for an eagle strike. After I get into the city three bards come singing and sometimes one of them pushes Jacobo away from my grab which meant I had to start all over since I had him poisoned.
Here's one way:
F*cking stab the bastards...
Also, although the bards are very awkward and tiresome, I find the mentally disabled/drunk men in ACI far more annoying. I seem to remember one occasion where three of them blocked my path and, depsite being an expert free-runner, Altair could barely make it past. It's the fact that they push you that really gets me, although the bards' music is very grating too
Apologies if the above suggestion offends anyone (especially any bards out there...)
The disabled guys in AC1 NEVER attacked anyone but Altair, and had a RIDICULOUS lunge for their shove attack. Bards and beggars are like a breath of fresh air. I just throw them money.
The drunks and the lepers were by far the most annoying part of AC1. The beggars alright since they didn't push you.
Also if you punched the drunks then everyone would look at you like you killed their cat. Why would they care so much about a bunch of crazy dudes?
everyone would look at you like you killed their cat.
KITTEH NUU!
I always wait for them to finish a song or two then throw then a few florins. I like them, they are really nice.
Not really, I always punch them in the face.
I hated it when a drunk pushed me into someone, and a guard says "You should be more careful", like it was my fault for not being careful enough to get in his range.
You know what's really annoying? Doing an informer mission, then getting pushed into a guard by a beggar, which makes the guards come after you. >.>
