Hello StabGuy, Aurel, Lisa, and any other frequent forumers. I stumbled on this site while searching for any and every novel or book related to the Assassin's Creed series. As soon as I read TheHiddenBlade.com I immediately did a quick overlook of the sight and found myself Creating an account within my first 8 minutes visiting.

I've always thought the AC series to be Hitman (most notably Blood Money) mixed with a 3rd-person version of Mirror's edge. A mad rooftop pursuit complete with contextual kills, Skydiving into piles of hay and an invitation to stealthy assassinations and silent escapes, assuming that you play as a "Blade in the Crowd".

When it comes to assassinations I prefer to be discrete; That is to say I don't like using firearms, bombs (of any kind), poisons (tend to harm others in perimeter), or using anything flashy, if I can help it. I like Throwing knives. Particularily because from time to time you can highlight your target, throw a knife, then start running out of sight before the knife even makes it home.
The hidden blade is also a preference due to bench assassinations, double-kills (mainly guards) and the sheer fun to be had walking by a deader, engaging in a firm hug, and dropping them lifeless to the ground as you liquidate into the crowded alleys.
when it comes to engaged combat I'll take the daggers any day, cause if they don't do the trick then 3 throwing knives will.

I hope to learn and divulge personal and professional techniques and playstyles with everyone, as well as work on my in-game parkour skills using the forums already here, and soon to come.

So I like Assassin's Creed for it's innovative, Cloak-n-Dagger play style and not to mention wonderful character detail (in my opinion). Looking forward to the bow and playing around with the distance on the rope-knife in AC:III!!

Also I'm a PS3 gamer, Props to Skyrim's Bow Killcams!!! (PS3 exclusive)

Not sure why you think that. I've seen PC players get bow killcams, and I assume it's the same for 360. Kind of silly to make that a console exclusive. Tongue

Hey, Throat. Welcome to the site. Did I understand correctly that you intend to make AC videos? That would be awesome! Some may even wind up on the front page... as long as they aren't YouTube fodder. Wink

You won't even feel the blade.

For the record, Stabguy, I recently gained the ability to make videos as well. I've been experimenting with the software a little, but nothing of note yet. I'm not super creative, so it may take me some time to get something video-worthy. The weirdest thing I've seen though, that isn't video-worthy, is a guard climbing up the wrong side of a wall in brotherhood. He popped out of the dirt in front of me while climbing the wall from inside the ground. haha.

i don't understand where you got the idea that it's PS3 exclusive from.
i've gotten bow and magic killcams on xbox several time.

if anything, the PS3 has less than the rest, (unfortunately)
cause, i'm not sure but i believe that PS3 won't be getting Dawnguard and/or Hearthfire

Things will not calm down, Daniel Jackson. They will in fact calm up

Well dang, I didn't play Skyrim long enough at all! Unfortunately I'm level 46 and hadn't seen a bow killcam until playing on PS3 (and I haven't tried the pc version myself) but I thought it was mind blowing! Thanks for the clarification though guys, appreciate it. Also I have no means to get videos posted up on here but maybe in the future something will peak my interest enough to make me go out and buy a camera, of some sort. Until that time, I'll be sharing my love for AC and almost everything in it with you guys via forums! Also it's going to be a mission of mine to complete at least the first AC using the shortblade and throwing knives, from there I'll attempt the other games.

Just as a reminder for everyone, a forum topic does not need to contain a video in order to be front-paged. Any well-written original analysis is a candidate for promotion. For example, 1001Human reviewed the music of AC2 and Fly Like An Eagle wrote a guide to solving the glyph puzzles (which should probably be stickied now that it's scrolled off the front page). al-Assas' hit points and damage points would have been front-paged even without the companion video.

Something to keep in mind for when AC3 comes out...

And there seems to be plenty to do in AC3.

Spoiler: Highlight to view

In addition to finding all the collectibles (feathers and treasure chests have been confirmed), it seems like you can spend hours hunting and tracking animals and on the sea. Both of these areas seem ripe for guides, tips and FAQs. I know with all my experience when I was younger with the Deer Hunter franchise, I will be spending a lot of time hunting. Haha.
