Welcome to the forum for Assassin's Creed Shadows. The game is due to be released one month from now (unless it gets delayed again) on March 20, 2025. My pre-order is in at GameStop. It seems to me that fans have been clamoring for a title set in feudal Japan ever since AC1. Now we'll finally get to see how that works out.
You can use this thread to share news and anticipation/reactions surrounding the release. Please put original gameplay videos in new topics under the Assassin's Creed Shadows forum.
As much as I wanted this setting, it came way too late. It would have to do something incredible to grab my attention from titles like Ghost of Yotei. Here's hoping it's a good one!
I only made it two episodes into Shōgun before losing interest. Feudal Japan is definitely not my thing. Still, I am looking forward to another Assassin's Creed installment and will try to make a few videos for The Hidden Blade.
For reasons, I am going to say I'm really looking forward to this game, and it feels damn good to be in a setting where the Assassin Brotherhood and Templar Order obviously exist again. I always missed it, but I didn't realize how MUCH I missed it until just now. Almost 10 years of Hidden Ones and Order of the Ancients has done a number on me.. (This is post-Ezio, so.)
I decided this week to get this one. I never played Valhalla, and might never play it (though I have it on PC). But I'll play this one slowly but surely. I enjoyed Mirage, which was the first full game like this I've played since my kid was born. The others have all been puzzle games, short indie games, or sports games.
I'm like 16+ hours in, just hit level 14, and I can't review the game yet. I'm still exploring the first area and decovered a place called the Path of Valor just now and loved it. I have yet to pursue the first main story assassination.
