New here and to AC entirely. I knew I would love it.
Thank you to this site and maps and forums for helping me learn to kill better and get 100%. Anyway I now see what made this game great the history, the gameplay, the story, the myths, the controls, the choice and freedom to what ever you want. I’m a late comer to the series which is fine but I still enjoy every part of the game. Thanks everyone.

If you are referring to the first AC games, I agree with you completely. Lets just forget about the later ones for now.
Al-ta-ear; a loner, a man of ideals and principle. I think it's the fact that he's so alone in a vast world that makes him feel so tragic. He doesn't want revenge, he longs for justice. If you don't feel his pain, then you aren't even human. Freakin' great game.
I'll be starting AC2 soon...but Altair will be missed.
