Looks pretty sick, and that's an awesome song in the trailer!
Hopefully it'll have some interesting assassinations!
Looking forward for new details on this DLC, who knows maybe more of Leonardo Da Vinci's missions or secret locations will show up.
Looks pretty cool. Glad it has trophies/achievements too - just adds a new challenge for me

I wonder what new multiplayer characters they'll introduce. Also, I hope it's free.

Looking at the comments from GT and Youtube it appears it's not free which makes wonder... I know it's rumor

Details about DLC story and setting, new multiplayer characters and game modes. Looks really cool, I can see myself using the knight a lot.
I like the knight a lot too. He'd just seem very imposing in a match. I hope they make his kill animations brutal (more so than the Mercanary).
Too bad it costs money (ha! I'm so cheap!) cuz xbox won't accept my new credit card.

At least you can use credit cards. I'm stuck w/ pre-paid cards because Microsoft decided to remove credit card support in most latinamerican countries. Anyway I think that even if the DLC is not as good in quality at least we are getting a good bunch of stuff for our buck.
1 word: Awsome
I'm at least happy they have singleplayer content this time. Now I have an excuse to play that more.

Are you mocking me or being serious? Either way, I like trophies as they give me something to aim for and I find them rewarding to get
I hate having to pay for DLC. I don't mind paying for good quality stuff but the Playstation Store doesn't accept debit cards so I'll have to get a prepaid voucher. I don't really want any other DLC though :s
After completing the game, the rifts, and the Leo war machine challenges, I've been completely bored with this game. This is definitely going to be worth the $10 PSN will charge for it. I had gotten to the point where I didn't even really want to play it anymore because I'm not a big fan of the multiplayer. I'm pumped that they're coming out with a single-player DLC.
I don't know if you've all read the book but there is large gap in the storyline between sequences 8 and 9, I am hoping for single player dlc for that time too! This still looks epic though!
How much ya'll wanna bet that half of those 10 achievements are new multiplayer challenges? I know they can't all be for the single player portion of the DLC.
Either way i'm pretty excited to jump back into Ezio's shoes in AC:B. I wonder it'll be post Seq9, at the end of Seq8 Ezio kinda says sayonara to Leo which implies that was the last time he saw him.
All I need is the "Employee of the Month" achievement and now they're (most likely) gonna make me do MORE?!?! NUUUU!!!

Oh man that one was a pain in the ass. Until I saw astlan video and felt like an idiot for not being able to get extreme variety so easily.
Anyway, they'll more likely be pretty easy or just random things, nothing too special. Most of the time DLCs in most games don't really have very challenging achievements.
That's true. And I looked at my stats earlier to see what I don't remember getting, and I'm pretty sure I only had Extreme Variety and maybe 1 other.

Your right, any multiplayer achievements will probebly just be "kill X targets with downloadable personas".
James, I know how you feel with the credi card problems. Sony does the same thing -- I have a US-based credit card for my PSN account, but if I'm not physically in the US (they check using your IP address!), I can't add funds to my wallet. A query to their help desk was answered with something about how people should only have PSN accounts in the regions where they physically reside, but that would force players to only play games in the majority language of the country they're in, so as it is, it's ridiculous. (Props to Ubi for at least having more than one language on some of their game discs -- but you should be able to play in any language you like!)
It's alright, I can live with pre-paid cards, as long as Ubi doesn't pull a Treyarch trick on me everything will be alright.
Here's the new multiplayer trailer. I'm liking that knight.

The Knight looks amazing! And I can't wait for the Free-For-All 'Assassinate' game mode
I wonder how Assassinate will work. If you're going after 7 other people with NPCs all around, how can you tell who you're looking for? I guess they could just eliminate all NPCs so your guard is constantly up.
TBH, I presumed the radar will just fill up as you get closer to any of your opponents. This would make it a bit more difficult with no picture of a specific target but players' actions normally give them away anyway.
Perhaps they will reduce the number of/ remove all NPCs to make it easier to find targets, though.
For the assassinate mode I was imagining a world just like wanted, but you could kill any player and be killed by any player. You don't have a picture to go by, and no radar either. Using high profile actions would give you away and put you in great danger to be killed by other players, so being sneaky would be very important. Then, when you spot a player (by any unusual behavior), you kill them and then find a way to quickly blend again, since you've given yourself away. This could bring tactics into the game like killing your target in an alley, so as to not be seen by other players. Roof-running would be very dangerous, because you would be immediately identified. Pursuers would be unlikely to go up there themselves though to get you, since that would reveal them as well. But you could expect to be killed as soon as you get off the roof again.
I suppose that would draw closer to Jack's original Wanted idea. Hopefully that's the case.
Yeah that's how I imagined multiplayer to be in the first place.
The only reason I think they might still include a radar is to give you an idea of where the closest player is to make it easier and more exciting for players who don't enjoy stealth as much, and don't want to have to walk around to be avoided (which is how the game should be played IMO)
Although thinking about it, if there was a radar that directed you to the closest player, it would constantly be changing direction
Either there'll be no radar or a much simpler version that might just flash when your facing a target (or something like that )
That, or if a player isn't doing any high-profile actions (walking/blended in a group) the whispers would go off. That's what I'm assuming.
I have just one doubt. If there are no contracts, what happens when two people find each other and try to kill each other, how does that work then?

Aha! Game design flaw found!
Maybe it's whoever presses / first. I can see how air assassinations can be easy to figure out, but not if two people are sprinting towards one another. They should have thought of a sparring mode if that happened, or something.

See.. that's even worser than the unbalanced stun-vs-kill mechanics!
Word on the street is that the DLC brings the following 10 achievements/trophies:
Strong-Arm
Throw a Long Weapon, Heavy Weapon, and Smoke Bomb more than 10 m at a guard.
High Roller
Win 10000 florins playing Hazard.
Airstrike
Kill 10 guards with a single arrow storm.
Special Delivery
Double Assassinate from a parachute.
Grand Theft Dressage
Steal 5 horses from their riders, while remaining on horseback.
Going Up
Kill a guard with the bag that drops from a lift.
Easy Come, Easy Go
Pay 500 florins to an orator, then pickpocket him afterward.
il Principe
Receive 100% sync in ACB and full sync in all missions of the Da Vinci Disappearance.
GPS
Complete the Da Vinci Disappearance.
Clowning Around
Beat up the 5 thirsty harlequins.
They all seem relatively simple on the face of it, with the exception of Il Principe.
I know many people on here have 100% Sync anyway but that could take a while for me
See? all of them really easy, there are not even multiplayer trophies!
Kill a guard with the bag that drops from a lift.
that one could be pretty difficult
Kill a guard with the bag that drops from a lift.that one could be pretty difficult
Actually, it's pretty easy once you know what to do. I've done it a couple of times just for kicks. Just get a group of guards angry at you, run towards a lift, get in fight mode so they're all positioned a couple of meters away from the lift, disengage from fight mode and jump to the lift. It's raining hard sacks of death all over their faces. See? Simple.
Damn, am I the only one that didn't know you could throw smoke bombs from a distance?
Haha, I think it means in combat mode. If you select a smoke bomb and a guard farther away is highlighted, you can chuck it at him so only his area is smoked. I don't know how you can get a guard from that far away and take it, though.
does anyone know when its being released? i thought it was tonight
The new trailer looks even better.
Looking forward to this~ =D
Might get myself motivated to get full sync on the Da Vinci Tank mission now since I can get something out of it~ xD;
Good think I charged up my PSN account a few days ago, got the cash to get it... :3
When does it come out??
When does it come out??
March 8, 2011 (today) on Xbox LIVE and March 9 on PlayStation Network.
I won't spoil it but the single player stuff is quite short so I've finished it with it continuing the modern storyline. All I'll say at the moment is that it's definitely worth it!

Same here...
So motivated for the 100% sync, especially doing the timed secret locations.
so when you download it do new icons just pop up on the map if you have already beaten the game?
Still have to wait like another week for my new Xbox, I'm so hyped about this.
I downloaded it today (for PS3) and that is indeed what happened in my completed game. (Haven't played it yet; I'm going to start a brand new game to see at what point it appears.)
In addition, it came with the Drachen Armor and 2 Templar Lairs.
EDIT: This was in reply to Justin22182, who was asking if the icon just popped up in a completed game.
