I have decided to make a video for youtube ( no idea how many parts it will be yet) where I go through the whole game without being seen. I will be recording everything, like going through the kingdom without being seen, how to get from here to there and how to do assassinations without being seen etc.

So even if you wont watch it, what are some of your ideas on this? Im thinking of editing out all cutscenes and conversations, and maybe all "Desmond" scenes but then again some might be interested in how to steal the pen.

Should I show how to get all flags/templars? In the end I will probably do what I want to do but any advice or ideas would help

I can't imagine many people would want to watch the entire game being played through, especially when it would have to be split into like 50 separate YouTube videos.

In many cases, it's pretty obvious how to move around basic areas without being seen. Maybe your videos could just focus on the tougher areas, or places people typically have problems with being detected. You would definitely want to get every main assassination in there (save for Tamir, Maria and Robert) and probably the kill task side missions, but simply moving through towns and the kingdom for the most part doesn't need to be shown. Just the tricky spots.

Certain areas like Arsuf and the final return to Masyaf in the end also do not need to be recorded, as you cannot do those parts of the game without fighting.

True, im thinking of cutting a lot of it now. There are some hard investigations though that I might record, such as informer ones where you have to kill lots of targets without being seen. However I have loads of MGS2 videos to make so this wont be completed until AC 3 comes out lol

I sometimes refer to Boner Jones' video walkthrough of AC1. It's nearly complete (travel is sometimes omitted) and well organized into 41 YouTube videos. I mostly use it to check dialogue.

These are some things I'd want to see in a stealth walkthrough:

  • Crossing the Kingdom from Masyaf to Damascus, Acre, and Jerusalem without being seen by a guard or Templar. For Damascus, see if you can gallop the whole way!
  • Nine unedited segments where you enter a city undetected and complete the minimum number of Investigations (no Interrogations please).
  • We've all seen stealth assassinations. Instead, show how to come out of the Memory Corridor still Anonymous and sneak back to the Bureau under City Alert. This is possible on seven of the targets.

That's 19 videos right there, each one presenting a challenge. I'd skip flags and Templars unless you're strategically removing a Templar to clear the way for later. They make the videos unnecessarily long and most can easily be collected without being seen.

On the flip side, there are many times in the game where you will be seen: Battle of Masyaf, Interrogating Masun, mandatory Save Citizen outside of Damascus, Talal, before or after Majd Addin, Maria, Arsuf, and much of Memory Block 7.

You won't even feel the blade.

I will definatly do the kingdom part for you stab, because after reading your topic on traveling the kingdom anonymous I felt I had to try it, and thought may as well record it. Then it kinda expanded from there. I will be skipping Masyaf, not much goes on here really, no challenge at all. I will only record the kingdom 3 times, once for each trip and possibly a 4th to get to Arsuf. I will do minimal save citizens and viewpoints once within a city. I might make a seperate video no templars if I get round to finishing this.

Sneaking back to the Bureau sounds fun as well, I will try do as many stealth kills and also make sure i leave the corridor anonymous and get back anonymous. Those of you who have subscribed to me will know im making a massive MGS2 project so I wont start this till I have finished that so feel free to post more ideas till then, it will help me heaps when I get round to doing it

The Kingdom videos will be interesting because even experienced players sometimes say "All guards in the Kingdom are Informed at all times." and "You have to Blend constantly to stay Anonymous in the Kingdom." Both statements are far from the truth.

Crossing from Masyaf to Damascus unseen in MB2 is pretty easy. That's why I suggested you do it at a full gallop. Laughing out loud I think it's possible. The two problem areas are the Informed guards at the olive tree below flag 65 and those along the main street of Saracen Garrison (between flags 75 and 77). At the olive tree, try just staying to your left. If that doesn't work, you may have to gallop under flag 56 and wind your way through Forest Village. The trick to Saracen Garrison is to go off-roading. Jump the fence to your right as you enter town and gallop along the south side of the buildings where flag 77 is found.

I'm not sure how you're going to get to Acre and Jerusalem in MB3 without being seen as there are many hazards. Most prominently, Templar 13 blocks passage of the central mountain trail from the north. You could stealth assassinate him from the south to clear this route to Jerusalem later but you'd have to go out of your way to do so.

Crusader Gorge has its share of problems too. Templar 6 guards the low road and three archers man the high island with flags 13 and 15. I see several possibilities on how to navigate Crusader Gorge unseen.

Finally, watch out for platform archers. You'll have to get past the one near flag 21 to reach Acre. For Jerusalem you have the choice of sneaking past flag 97 or running the gauntlet of 83, 84, 85 and 86.

You won't even feel the blade.

Maybe you should challenge yourself to do some tricky missions fast AND undetected. That would definitely be something I'd watch.
Coming to the Bureau under City Alert for example is dead easy if you are prepared to blend all the way. This is of cause way to boring. Perhaps you can do it while travelling full speed 95% of the time however?
