Hi to all,

I just wanted to get a topic going about the deadliest and most skilled enemy types that both Ezio and Altiar have to face in order to discover the truth about themselves.

I shall begin with focusing on the Crusades and AC1 in general. The most powerful enemy in AC1 (excluding Al Mualim) is the Head of the Templar's, Robert de Sable. Then comes Templar Knights, the knights that command the guard patrols in Acre and the Kingdom and then you have the standard soldiers.

I am not to great on the later games however, so please I'll need some help with those. These later games are AC2, AC:B, AC:R.

I welcome your responses.

Lbtc.

I think the first time I killed Robert he started with a grab which I countered and then shink. So, yeah...

AC1 enemies can all be easily killed. So can ACB/ACR's enemies with the killstreaks. AC2 seemed to give us a pretty good balance of not feeling like a killing god and giving almost all guards a different strategy to use. However, I haven't been more scared to be detected in any of the games more than I am of the Janissary. This was what we were promised in ACB for the Papal guards. At least they got this part of the game right.

Targets are pretty damn though as well. Not to mention the Masyaf guards you have to fight in the final memory block.

As of right now, no guards are to be feared. All of them can be taken out with a counter-kill, kill-streak, or by one of your assassin apprentices. This game virtually offers no challenge to me anymore.

Once you get used to the Janissaries pattern they are pretty predictable. I dont think I have ever had trouble against guards, except in AC1 when I start failing with the counter for hidden blade.

Counter is for wussies! Shock and awe is where the real boys are at.

Thanks for your responses. So in AC:R it seems to me like the Janissaries are the deadliest guard type. In AC:B defiantly the Papal guards. But what about AC2? is there a guard type that is extremely tough to kill?

Ok, here are some things.

Main targets are probably the most powerful ennemies in AC2, especially Rodrigo.

If you consider only the guards, according to me, the toughest ones are brutes, followed by agile guards and seekers.

But, again, AC games are quite easy : at maximum 6 knifes are needed to kill Rodrigo (3 for Dante and 2 for the guards).
