The Hidden Blade Assassin's Creed in Depth

I really like Minecraft for what it is, but I find it's really easy to get bored of because it has no real goal. I'll play it for hours and hours on a weekend, then not touch it for months.

Terraria came out recently and it really is like a side-scrolling Minecraft, but with actual goals and an endgame. I haven't grown bored of Terraria nearly as quickly, though I am in somewhat of a Terraria overload right now so I'm taking a break from it.

Same as Asaic, I've got minecraft and it's fun to play but it's so aimless that I become quickly bored with it. I can only go on it when I'm in a creative, time-wasting mood. I'd much rather play a game with a point.
It's brilliant at what it does, I'm just not a huge fan of what it does.

It's immensely more fun when you play with more people, but I would become very bored very quickly when I played by myself. The issue that exists with it I think is the fact that once you build a place to stay in, you aren't really motivated to do anything else. I still like building stuff, however.

And I guess now we know where Asaic has been for the last few weeks.

Nah, Asaic's been busy with a hectic personal life. Though I did make some time to squeeze in inFamous 2.

I play minecraft i also know how to make servers so maybe we could all play sometime. i recently been playing fortress craft for xbox 360 its like minecraft classic version and you dont have to deal with the multiplayer server crap

i dont know if i could constantly be on though
i could still make one for us.

I play minecraft as well and would like to play a server but none has been working for me so far and I don't know how to make a server myself. If someone could make a server, that would be better then playing by yourself and I would join it.

The problem is that i have the latest drivers and my computer can handle Minecraft, if it can handle Medieval 2 Total War, Call of Duty 4, Battlefield 2 How can't it handle Minecraft ?

i had a problem of the game crashing before, until i updated Java

Yesterday I went on MineCraft at first our servers ran smoothly then extreme lag came to our servers like nothing I had experience before, buying the game 8 months ago. Now the Beta is down & also the forums on their site are down soo something is not right. I did update Java also with no mods/texture packs downloaded so I think its under maintenance.

I have the latest java version, the latest drivers version on my computer, everything is Ok. I can run Battlefield 2, Call of Duty, GTA, Medieval 2 Total War etc, in my computer, how can't i run Minecraft ?!

MineCraft IMO has really bad servers but I never seen it too the point where it just doesn't work...

Even it having bad servers, why can't i play singleplayer ?

Well... i'm playing minecraft for a couple of weeks, and i loved the game.. ;D

this is a SMP server, Survival Multiplayer, not a Creative one, so there's nothing built in it, like huge cities etc.. i'm waiting for people to play with me thought... so if you're interested join it now. I'm online.

Anyone watch the Yogscast(YTC: BlueXephos)?
They have a Minecraft series that starts with them just playing it, but gradually morphs into a huge multiplayer world where people made up the world locations, stories, and characters, and they play through them like a game with a real storyline.
It should also be noted that Simon and Lewis are hilarious. You'll laugh if you have any humor at all.

If you want to start the series, Ep. One is below. Just remember that the first few are them getting Lewis situated and learning to play... the series now gets about half a million to a million and a half views per episode (some almost 2 million), so if my word isn't enough....

I always laugh ALOT on their videos.

Yogscast is hilarious, but they stopped at a certain point during Shadow of Israphel and I never checked to see if they resumed (after that they were mostly doing playthroughs of other created dungeon maps, some of which were really cool but not as interesting as the main series).

They stopped doing Shadow of Israphel because of 2 things..
1st- They went to Gamescon
2nd - Lewis (Yogscast Member) have been messing with mods on the World that they make the series, so now they gotta rebuild (clean) the mess he did.

They said that the next Episode of Shadow of Israphel will be uploaded as soon as they finish cleaning the mess, and that will be really soon.

PS : They are one of the "things" that made me interested in Minecraft. Lol

This may be a little late but I know how to make a minecraft server, I'm actually quite good at it. I have my own but I don't keep it up because it starts to lag at around 7 people, due to the fact of my internet. (I have a desktop so I can host it 24/7) Problem is it will lag a lot around 6-7 people

So if anybody is a better host I can help you set up a minecraft server

I host a Server now, and i play with some friends... now that the pre-release of 1.8 just came out, i'm trying to make a 1.8 server, but i'm getting errors while trying to do that, otherwise the Single-player is working fine. ;D

1.8 multiplayer won't work until Notch officially releases 1.8 and Bukkit (or whatever server creator you use) updates their files to work with 1.8

Hmmm..... probrably 1.8 will officially release like tomorrow, or 2 in days, i guess.... From what i've heard...

EDIT: But there is ALOT of Pre-Release 1.8 videos on youtube, and 90% of them are in multiplayer.... so i don't know..

i still play 1.7.3 i don't like 1.8 for a few reasons.
i don't like that there is npc villages for you id rather make my own village.
and i heard its really laggy and buggy (i have never played it its just what i heard
but i don't want to play it from what i heard)
perhaps it would be fun if i tried it but i have done a lot on 1.7.3 and i wouldn't want to restart it

You're right about the NPC Villages..
But the biomes, the Ravines, the Rivers, the Abandoned Mines, the Endermen, the Strongholds, and much more, you can't miss that.

PS: Did you know that there is now a Pre-Release of 1.9, yeah, 1.9.. it adds new stuff to the nether, like, 2 new mobs, netehr ruins, more items and blocks, etc.
Also it adds, biomes such as Swamp and Mushroom Kingdom.

NPC Villages are still buggy, because the Npc's in it are still in test, their name are "TESTIFICATE". Lol.

But you should try it out guys.

So Minecraft was just released on the Xbox 360 and it's freakin awesome!

Not the same as the PC version. I couldn't get used to the control scheme after coming from PC.

Well Mouse+Keyboard > Controller always, but you have to admit that its an extremely well done port, and to me is specially great since I bought the PC version and my laptop couldn't run it properly. A huge sandbox that just devours enough of your time. Certainly will keep me busy until I have enough money to buy The Witcher 2.

fully planning on getting this for xbox so ill be hopping on multiplayer when i can now for some Yogscast >:D

just bought the Xbox version and found that 2 moth Live is on discount so i'll be on for a while atleast
