Blitz - Save Rasit El Zubeyid
Rasit El Zubeyid is the second assassin to be executed by the Templar. (The first is Vahid Ahmedi, who is executed at right after the checkpoint.) Rasit's execution is triggered by killing the second guard you encounter on the castle wall or by entering unmarked areas around the site. You can still kill the target despite these efforts by the developers. Run toward the target as shown, and stop just past the guard to quickly throw 3 knives. You are detected, but the target dies quickly enough for a successful mission. Keep your distance from the nearby guard when you throw the knives so that you are not detected prematurely.

Anonymous Blitz
If you don't mind losing Rasit, you can run right up to the target and kill him, for example, with your bare hands. You can start moving immediately after the execution when the camera angle is to the side, so be sure to aim left with your stick.

Whatever you do, don't call Altair a lapdog.
Since Aurel beat me to freeing Al Mualim, I had to find an interesting variation. Nothing says "I hate you" better than a point blank spear-in-the-face assassination Smile
2:43 It may not be necessary to kill this guard.
3:11 When the target dies, the dead body that was used to lure the target is reanimated, and he runs away.

Eagle Strike(ish)
Don't just run off the roof. You need to force an early leap (by double tapping the legs button) near the edge of the shadow that is cast on the roof, and the jump needs to be angled slightly left. Tilt the camera as you fall so that you can lock onto the target, and quickly grab the railing to avoid death. Air assassinate over the railing. This unusual "eagle strike" is among the more difficult ones that I've performed.

Ghost Run
The goal is to kill the target without being seen (no yellow SSI bars) and no killing of anyone other than the target.
4:32 I go back to realign Altair's grip so that he can pull up at 4:36
4:44 After Rasit is killed, this guard is scripted to find you. He'll look in your direction, but he won't see you since you are hanging on the other side of the wall. He then gets stuck repeatedly trying to walk off the edge of the wall, probably because he is programmed to look for you in a hiding place on ground level. This works to your advantage because he looks away at this time.
5:58 Just for fun, I run up the wall before initiating the air assassination. Timing is important because he is not always susceptible to this elevated air assassination as he paces around.

Silent Throwing Knives
You can lock onto a target and back out of his/her view. When you throw a knife in this fashion, you remain anonymous afterward. I take an alternate path to the target just for illustration. You can also approach on rooftop, and you can jump between the 2 sets of roofs if desired (not shown).

Hi Ian, I tried the blitz assassination like in your video. I did it a few times, but now I can't manage to do it again.

Could you give me more details about the game mechanics in this memory, and about the positions, how to run, etc? That would be great.

Running/Timing: I don't do anything special. I just hold down high profile and legs the whole way until i throw the knives.
Position: I keep 2-3 meters to the right of the nearby guard. If I'm too close, he notices me throwing the knives, which ruins the mission. I only run past this guard just enough so that the target lock switches to the main target. Then I mash attack.

I recall failing this mission a few times... sometimes a knife would miss, or I'd accidentally trigger the execution if I got too close. I completed this blitz successfully a few times, so it's not a fluke. hope this helps, and good luck!

In fact I noticed a second guard behind the first one, making investigation after seeing a dead body. This one spots me all the time.

Considering I save about 1 second on the climbing part, I will simply run "straight" to the target and assassinate him, like you with the anonymous kill. This will be ~3 seconds slower than the blitz, and it doesn't save Razid, but it's a huge easier.

Maybe if you angle the camera differently to line up your jump? Eagle sense is a great help for those kind of things.

I must admit, I haven't tried. I will do once I get the time.

the third was the best kill

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Rick and Morty. The humor is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer's head. There's also Rick's nihilistic outlook, which

Isn't it possible to do an Eagle strike from the wall on the right (used in the ghost run)?

Other than that, awesome job!

Incredible work as always Ian! Watching you do this reminded me of the cool stuff you did in AC1, and the fact that your AC1 videos were what made me a true fan of the Assassin's Creed games, and made me join this community. An honor to see something else by you, Mentor.

Those are very kind words. Thanks, DAZ.

Good question. Running up the wall and jumping directly back from the wall will cause you to overshoot the railing. You may be able to compensate by picking a different place along the wall to run up, but this would require critical aiming because you no longer need to jump directly back. For me, it's just easier to run off the roof as shown.
