For my first video on AC Revelations I am doing a variety pack on the Altair memory The Mentor's Keeper in sequence three.
Early Infiltration of the Fortress
You are not meant to enter the Masyaf fortress before the scene. By performing a wall run followed by a wall jump you can get to a part of the cliffs that will lead you to the fortress without activating the scene. Sadly enough there aren't any characters in it. Also there are invisible barriers for where the gates close.
Free Al Mualim
This is harder than it looks since it isn't meant to be possible. To free him you have to get rid of the guards first. Let the spear wielding guards notice you and lead them into the fortress (there are three spear wielding guards. In the video I lead all three, but you can choose to lead the two that are close by. You will have to deal with the third later on, though). When you reach the stairs you can either go up them and turn to the side or go behind the bookcases. If you are too far away they will stop following, and if they have sight of you too long they will detect you. Now you can kill the two guards holding Al Mualim without being detected. I kill the guard on the right first since I sometimes bump into him when I kill the guard on the left. If you kill the target after this the scripted guards are reanimated. The two guards are fought off by Al Mualim, and the other three run away. There are also a few other examples. If you grab the target Al Mualim dies even though there is no one to kill him. Notice how he holds a crossbow after you let go. Also if you kill one of the scripted guards by throwing a spear he will be reanimated with the spear still in him. I choose to do this to the guard on the left because Al Mualim throws the guard on the right to the ground during the scene.
Spear from the Roof
One of the guards on the roof has a spear, but you normally can't see it. Kill the first guard on the roof and use his dead body to attract the guard. Then let him see you (don't let him see you until after he examines the dead body or he won't "unsheath" his weapon. Hide behind a corner and assassinate him when he comes to it. Now to get the spear to the higher roof. Perform a wall run and jump to the side. There is a good chance the spear will get stuck in the wall when you grasp the ledge, which allows you to pick it up. Kill the guard walking on the roof first. Now go to the end of the roof and press the to get to the lower roof while still holding the spear. From here you can lock onto the target and kill him by throwing the spear. I originally was trying to get a good distance between the target and Altair, but it didn't seem to work.
Detected Assassination
Since this is a stealth based mission the game won't let you kill the target if you get detected. However if you grab him with a weapon you can. After a few seconds the guards kill Al Mualim, so I wait until the last possible moment to kill the target. I can't tell if the guards start to kill Al Mualim when I do.
Mission Glitch
One of the guards on the roof is scripted to start a scene when he is killed (unless you already started the scene by getting within a certain area). If you kill him far away from where he is supposed to be killed the scene won't end. The target will shoot one of the assassin hostages who isn't affected. He will keep doing this while saying some random phrases.
I'll post this here since it's not worthy of it's own topic.
I was going to make another variety pack, but didn't have much to go on. And that's all I got recorded for ACR.
I just got an idea! Inside air assassination. Lure the target inside and kill him using an air assassination.
Don't worry, there will be more exploits soon.
That was badass. Impressive how you see this much potential in a scripted sequence. Great job.
Good job! I really like how you free Al Mualim.
Front page please, I believe this is worthy. Can anyone do anything else with the other Altair missions?
They're more and more scripted as they go further and further but maybe..
I probably should have given the video another name. I only did a few assassinations, and everything I did was something that shouldn't have been possible. Sorry for the bad quality, I suck at recording. By the way, when are ACR videos gonna be tagged under assassination styles?

The only other Altair mission with an assassination target is the most scripted assassination in the history of Assassins Creed. But oh well, it's an Altair memory.
stab is working on creating the menus for acr. should be ready soon.
